I know Michael's 26 now but he wasn't when I started writting this, so for the sake of this story he's 25
______________________________________________________________Michael had to go help Geoff get some food, he offered to let me come with but I declined. I wanted to looked around. I quietly walked beside the buildings, the wool gave In beneath my feet, not enough to make holes. It was really like walking on a blanket or a soft mattress.
I was stuck in my thoughts, I figured Michael was gone forever, or dead. Although glad both options weren't the case the fear was overwhelming. I gently ran my fingers through my messy black hair and sighed softly, wondering if I should come clean or not. It would be the best thing to do, but there's so much to risk. Maybe just for a little while I'll pretend to be normal.
I was pulled away from my thoughts when I heard a voice from behind me, I swung around. "Sorry, what'd you say?" I said tilting my head to the side slightly.
He smiled and said "Hey, I'm Ray." He had a cheerful voice, after a moment he held up a rose and handed it to me, I looked at the flower in my hand with a puzzled look.
"The best flower, right?" He said with a proud look, and with his chest slightly puffed out.
I giggled slightly and nodded, "Yea, it's great."
Ray nodded "you passed. You're allowed to stay." My smiling face became puzzled again, but before I could say anything he added "I wouldn't let a rose hater stay." It was obvious that he was joking and I offered a fake, but convincing laugh. "So how are you Ana?"
"I'm a year younger than Michael, so 24." I held the rose to my chest awkwardly, it was a nervous habit, holding things close, I've never been sure why I do it, but I always have.
He smiled. "I'm 24 too!" He said pumping his fist I'm the air, I giggled softly at his enthusiasm. It was comforting that he was answering the questions as well.

The way she held the rose close to her chest was so cute, she looked slightly nervous while we spoke, but I could tell she was trying hard to not make it awkward. The best part of it all was when she laughed, it was so soft and smooth, and her smile was so bright. We talked for a while, maybe an hour or so until Geoff and Michael came back, I gotta say I was honestly disappointed to see them, because the longer we spoke the more she warmed up to me, she swore a little bit more than expected but it's not like I expected any less from one of Michaels friends. There was one thing I noticed, she was very open about her past. All she really told me is that after she had to leave the village her and Michael lived in, she traveled, I can't say much, but I had this strong gut feeling that there was more to it. When I asked about her past, her eyes would sadden, or maybe have hints of anger appear, and her voice would get soft and frail.
Michael came up to us. "getting to know each other, eh?"
From Beside me the small girl smiled and nodded. "Yea, how was hunting or whatever."
Michael crossed his arms and jokingly pouted, " 'or whatever' you act like we did nothing."
Ana replied by softly punching his shoulder "I didn't say you did nothing, I just said you didn't do much." Michael and I burst out laughing when she spoke.
"Gotta do easy stuff I can take a lot of credit for." He shrugged, and rustled Ana's hair again, it was short and kinda of messy, it looks okay though, her hair was real choppy like she cut it with a her sword or something, which I'm guessing is what she did. It wouldn't be surprising if she said so.
"MI-COOOOLLL" A strong oxford accent erupted from behind Michael, ana looked past Michael to see gavin I'm sure, but I was used to it, no point in even looking by now. The taller British boy wrapped his arms tightly around the brunette.
"God dammit Gavin." He said, pushing gavin off of him.
"But mi-coooool." He whined, with a pouty face and puppy dog eyes, kinda like Ana's but a little but more annoying somehow.
"Gav I'm going to punch you."
"Awe don't punch him, he's like an annoying little puppy." Ana said happily from beside the angered Michael.
"Don't encourage him!"
"See Mi-cool be nice." His voice was high-pitched and pleased. "Thanks pretty bird." He said looking at Ana, winking.
She furrowed my brows. "Don't call me that for ill snap your neck." Then she crossed my arms and huffed. From beside her Michael and I busted our laughed and gavin just whined about some bullshit that We all really just ignored.
The sun was slowing sinking in the sky and making everything cast a strong shadow, and the air was growing cooler. "Nighttime already huh?" I said, ana shrugged from beside me.
"Ana are you staying in my house tonight?" She smiled and nodded
"Yep."
