*flashback*I ran up to my mom, Desperate for attention, it was rainy out and I was bored to tears. The wooden flooring creaked quietly as I stood on my tiptoes and tried to see what she was sewing from behind her shoulder incase it was a gift for me. Apparently I wasn't very sneaky thought because she noticed right away. My mother gave her sweet laugh that was like a blanket, so warm and comforting. "The there Annabel." She set aside her project and pulled me up onto her lap.
I looked at her with my big, brown eyes and offered a sweet smile. "Can I help you sew?" By help I meant watch and judge. Well, I was never 'judging' it, I was just offering my opinion, and my mom always listened, and often used my advice on what she was making, even if it didnt look as good. Mother just offered a friendly smile and adjusted herself in the chair so I was able to sit next to her. When she picked the cloth pieces and needle back up I could tell what it was now "Ender-Hat!" I exclaimed happily. They weren't the friendliest creatures but they seemed okay enough. I mean they only hurt you if you stared to long. As childish as it was I always just imagined them as feeling misunderstood, everyone is so quick to label them as evil when they just seem scared. I guess such violence still is inexcusable but none the less.
Mother continued to sew and I offered my two cents every now and then about the hat, and mother obliged, and after a little while it looked amazing. She cut the lose threads and placed it on my head. Her eyes softened and she gave a big smile when she saw it on me. It was a black hat, with thing purple threads strategically place to make it look like the sparkles endermen give off, it had to purple eyes made of felt sewn on as well, and black pieces of cloth hung from the side, one of which had a small pocket. As of now it was still a slightly big, but not big enough to be much of a bother.
As if on cue a knock came from the door, I bolted up from my chair and ran to the door, only one person ever visited really. "Michael!" I exclaimed happily on my way to our wooden door.
"Who else would it be Anna?" He said jokily laughing from the other side of the door, Im sure he could notice my excitement. He was a year older than me and we protected and treated each other like family.
I pushed the door open and smiled warmly, the pieces of clothe from the side of my hat swayed slightly, as did my long black hair. Michael smiled as well as he noticed the hat, he knew all of my silly feelings towards endermen, he always joked about it but listened and tried to understand, but no matter what he always hated monsters, most people did though so it was understandable. "Cute hat, Endergirl." He joked nudging my shoulder. "Wanna hang out?"
I looked at mom with puppy eyes and all mother did was laugh and nod. I loved it here.

"Anna?" I blinked a few times and looked at Michael, he didn't look worried, Im sure he remembered how lost in thought I got at times, his friends thought still seemed confused by all of this.
I smiled slightly and looked at him, my eyes were still brown but with tinges of purple, just highlights, In all honesty it looked pretty cool, but I was hoping he hadnt noticed. "Sorry, I still have trouble with daydreaming." He laughed and shook his head.
"Most people out grow that." He had a warm smile on his face and you could melt into his brown eyes, they had a way of making you feel safe, so long as he was calm. I straightened my posture, and scanned the area around me, it looked so nice, it felt like a real home, a place of safty and hardwork. It must sound silly but I really wanted to stay here with Michael, but I knew Michael wasnt the leader, The Geoff guy as, and I dont know how much he liked me. I mean so far I've kinda've been an asshole, but he deserved it.
Geoff spoke from behind us. "Do you plan on staying the night? Because I'm sure Michael would let you stay at his place." He offered, his voice more friendly now, almost fatherly.
I turned and looked at Geoff surprised then turned back to Michael with my puppy dog eyes, begging for some more time here. When were were kids I would always give him that look to get my way, he had a weak spot for it, but damn, I am adorable its impossible to say no to my cute face. Michael laughed and shook his head. "It's been years and I still cannot say no to that dumb face."
"So I can?" My voice poured with excitement. Michael just nodded.
A voice from behind us exclaimed "Yay, Michaels pretty friend is staying!" The creeper boy pumped his fist into the air. His voice was laced with a heavy, foreign accent, where was he from?
"Gavin you fucking idiot." Michael said as he shook his head, laughing slightly. His brown curls bounced slightly as he moved. I laughed with Michael, everyone seemed nice so far. I loved it here, but could I stay. I mean I'm not the same kid Michael used to know, I've been through a lot more, and changed more than just mentally.
