*Anas POV*

I woke up with protective, strong arms wrapped around me. Warm sunlight lot up the room. I blinked a few times and wiggled away just enough to see his face. I slept snuggled right up against his chest, he was warm and his breathing was rhythmic and soothing.

I guess my movement woke his because his eyes slowly opened. He blinked a few times then gave a sleepy smile. "Morning.." He mumbled, moving one of his arms away from me to rub his eyes.

"Mornin'." I replied, my voice was soft and slightly worn out. Last night was a slight blur, it moved quickly. My nightmare was the hardest to remember surprisingly. Michael helped me push memories away, it was a nice change to be able to smile.

He wrapped his arm back around me and pulled me close. "I don't wanna get up, to early." He buried his face into the top of my head, his words slightly muffles by the hood I still had on.

"We need to get up Mogar." I mumbled sleepily, I was really trying to convince myself more than I was him. Not that it mattered because just as I was starting to dove off again the door to the house flew open.

"Mi-coooo! Anna wake up!" A strong British accent chirped.

"Fuck off Gavin." Michael yelled angrily back with a groggy sleepy voice.

"Mi-cooooo!" Gavin whined, with a high-pitched voice.

I giggled from beside Michael quietly, "maybe we should just get up." I said sleepily wiggling in his arms so stretch. All I got for a reply was a groan. He let go of me, and I felt the chill of the rooms air. Michael got up and stretched, once he stood up the bed moved to relief itself of his weight.

Gavin nudged Michael's arm. " So you two cuddled?" He joked, as Michael pulled on a shirt, and the his sweatshirt.

I got up and stretched. The clothes Michael gave me hung loose, the string to tighten the pants waist was set as tight as it could be set, and the pant legs rested on the floor. The sleeves of the sweatshirt hung past my fingertips and below my waist. It was comfortable and soft though.

Gavin ran up to me and pinched my cheeks. "Awe you look so cute, love!" He squealed, acting as if I were a kitten to awe over. I pushed his hands off and glare at him, a tint of pink brightened my cheeks.

Michael grabbed Gavin's sleeve, "Gav lets go so she can change." They both left, mostly with Michael dragging Gavin out.

I quickly slipped off Michael's clothes and threw on my old, dirty ones. I didn't think they looked that bad though.

I walked outside to be greeted by Michael, Gavin and Ray, just as soon as I settled myself beside them, Geoff, Jack, and Ryan joined us.

Geoff smiled offered a faint smile. "Today we are gonna go get some ores, and supplies. Alright guys?"

All of the guys seemed pretty excited, and Jack handed me a sword and pic. "Thanks." I said shyly, smiling warmly toward the taller man. He just nodded with a friendly smile plastered on his face.

We all set out, it was a warmer day and the sun was high in the sky. Everyone was caught up I'm conversation, I stayed pretty quiet, adding myself in only enough to not make Michael worry. Sometimes talking to people was just hard, after being so long without people. We made of to a cave, it was pretty big, also dark.

Geoff lead us in, everyone continued to chat as they mined, I tried to stay aware of my surroundings, there was a heavy feeling of nervousness in my chest. But if I'm to be honest my guard is always up.

We wondered further into the cave, we had found quite a bit but It was gonna be dark soon, if it wasn't already, as soon as I was about to mention that a large explosion shook the cave from behind me, it all slowed down when I heard Michael yell out in pain. I ran out. "M-Michael?" I exclaimed, worry lacing my voice and shaking my words.

He was out cold but still breathing, he had burns on his back and side, it looked pretty painful, "damn creepers.." I mumbled angrily. From beside me Ryan placed his hand on my shoulder and I let go of Michael allowing jack to pick him up. We started walking quickly toward the exit, but I guess the sound attracted some monsters, because as soon as we could see the exit of the cave, that lead into the chilly night, an arrow shot near my head, Gav shot the skeleton that tried to hit me but there were more.

I held my sword tight in my hands, ready to fight. My voice was solid and cold. "Jack, Geoff, and Gav take Michael back to the town." I tried to keep my voice strong and to not show fear.

"We should stay and hel-" Geoff started.

"The walk back isn't going to be safe and jack can't fight holding Michael. Sorry to give demands being the new kid and all but trust me alright?" I looked at Geoff with desperate eyes and he nodded, leading Gavin and Jack out with him, while Ryan, Ray and I fought off the monsters that flooded the cave.

It wouldn't of been so hard if it wasn't mostly skeletons, a lot of the fighting was simply dodge and hide.

"Behind you!" Ray shouted, I turned and swiftly sliced away a zombies head, just barley making it in time. I turned to my side to see ryan with a skeleton aiming for him. "Ryan!" I didn't shout quickly enough the arrow was shot and ryan wouldn't have enough time to react. I couldn't let him get hurt.

As risky as it was I decided to teleport in front of the arrow, using myself as a shield.

"What the hell!?" I could hear ray shout.

From behind me I heard Ryan, every moment felt like it was going in slow motion. I heard him gasp before the arrow hit my shoulder, right by my chest. I sunk to my knees and watched ryan kill the monster, before picking me up.

I groaned quietly, and bit my lip to try to hold in screams of pain. I could feel the warm blood pour down my chest and arm. All I could do was give into Ryan's arms, I rested my head gently against his shoulder. "I'm sorry.." I whispered softly as my vision started to blur.
