CHAPTER 30

James's POV

Had just finished a meeting with an associate and had decided to call Jacky to know where she was. I remembered she had changed numbers so I called her other number. I was starting to wonder what made Jacky change so much. She was wild in bed and seemed to know a lot about sexmentation*😂😘 and all! At some point I thought she was a virgin. She had insisted on doing things without a condom but I would always slide it in without her knowing. I am not stupid you know. Plus she seemed to be a little off. She didn't bevahe like the Jacky I knew. The soft spoken straight Jacky was now a bitchy Jacky and I had started having second thoughts about her. It was not easy and it was driving me insane.
I called and told her that I am outside the house. She came and as I opened the car door for her I noticed that her way of dressing had also changed. She wore a skimpy skirt showing almost everything and this didn't sit well with me. I tried talking to her out of it and she just shrugged insisting that she felt fine. That she wouldn't feel bad or out of place because I was with her. I felt uncomfortable with her unlike previously when I was very free with her. I had planned to surprise her with a ring, an engagement, and I had booked an entire floor at Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel. But with the way she was behaving I had second thoughts about it and decided to just have an outing then go back home.
She insisted on us going to this new joint 40 40 and I didn't like it one bit. It was a nice place but I really needed a place I could just rest quietly and have a few drinks with my gal, although I wasn't sure anymore whether she would still become my number 2. As we sat down there, she started telling me to just marry her. And nagging me, telling me that we were taking too long. I wondered what this was all about. One minute she wants us to take it slow, the next she wants us to have a wedding as fast as possible. I had started fearing her. Being paranoid about everything and thinking that maybe she had staged everything just to get me.
I had excused myself to go to gents and have a fresh breath of air. I stood at the balcony and called my friend asking him for advice. He had told me not to do anything rash. That there must be something very wrong. I had decided to go back and tell her that I feel too tired and we should head home. I then realized that her mum had just come. I said hi to her and had small talks here and there. Then she said something that made me almost have a heart attack.
"I see you have finally met Jannie. What do you think of her? She asked eying me. Being shocked is an understatement. I was literally having a nervous breakdown.
" what do you mean mum? Who is Jannie?" I asked trying to breath in and out. At this point Jannie was so restless that she tried excusing herself to go to the ladies. Her mum let her although I wasn't for it. I asked her what she meant by calling Jacky, Jannie. She was shocked and started telling me everything from how Jannie was stolen as a baby to how she ended up here. She also told me that she was loving with Jacky and it was actually Jacky that had cakes her here. I was by then fighting tears. Wondering what I had done. I was actually almost hyperventilating! I wailed as I held my head.
I told her everything. I had no one else to talk to. It had to be fast before Jannie came back. As I finished Jacky's mum was in tears wondering why her own daughter could do such a thing. She also scolded me and told him he could have opened his eyes a little wider and could have seen something was amiss. When Jannie came back, she said she needed to go home and requested if I could drop her. I told her that we needed to talk.
"OK, I'm waiting. What do you want to say?" She asked. Before I answered Jacky came over together with her friend Beka who I knew was a no nonsense girl. She had gone through a lot and she was a tough one. The first thing Beka did was slap me so hard that I saw stars. Then she turned to Jannie and hit her across her face making her topple over her seat. Show stood up with a broken nose throwing obscenities all over. She was at this point laughing so hard. "Oh ladies and gentleman, of should I say bitches and bastard? Well, I have good news for you. I am sick. HIV positive. I have also slept with this idiot here, without a condom, and you liked it right? Well, you have another thing coming. I am also pregnant. So now, you can all shoove it up your asses! Oh and by the way, I'll not be home tonight but I'll be back sister. As for you mama, if only you knew how much I hate you! I'll be back!" With that she was gone!
