THE CO - WIVES

CHAPTER 21

James's POV
I resolved to go to her place and find out whether she was back. Unfortunately the door was locked. I had my bodyguard break it down. I needed to find something, anything to point me to her. I was devastated. She couldn't just slip through my fingers, just when I found her. Was this my punishment from God? Was it wrong that I had fallen for her? Then I remembered. The bodaguy! Yes! She left  with the bodaboda and me being me and my paranoia, I had taken a photo of her boarding it.
I resolved to calling the OCS with the information I had. "Good evening my friend. I think I have a lead to Jacky. Please help me."
"I think I also have a lead buddy. I need you to sit down though."
"What is it? Please tell me!"
There was silence on the other end.
"Please tell me she's okey. I need to see her. She's my world. Please..." I said as I slumped on the floor.
"There was an accident. Problem is the bodaguy passed on. Good news is Jacky is alive but was hurt pretty bad considering she was still weak from the previous encounter. James I need to ask you something, and I need you to answer me to the best of your knowledge. How well do you know your employees?"
"Where is this headed to? I need to see Jacky first before we talk about my businesses. Which hospital John? Please tell me. I'm at her place..."
"Okey, she's at Coptic hospital. Just get there I'm also on the way there. We need to wrap this up, because as much as you want this girl of yours, your life could also be in danger James. Please have someone you trust with you, or follow you. You may never know what happens between now and then. Be safe." With that he ended the call.
I ordered Willy my bodyguard to drive me to Coptic hospital. On my was there I called to request Jacky be moved to a private room away from public. When I got there, considering the staff there knew who I was, I was immediately directed to Jacky's room. There she was, sleeping, with a bruised face, a broken leg and in oxygen. I asked for the doctor attending to her to know her status. I needed to know exactly how she was. Any internal injuries and the like. From what the doctor told me, I was a little relieved to know other than the fractured leg, and shock, she was fine. She wasn't able to breath in her own though, and that broke my heart. I had to see the OCS.I held her hand and stroke it softly praying silently for her to wake up as a lone tear landed on her soft hands.
As I sat there crying and calling her silently to wake up, my wife entered the room silently. " Hey babe. Finally she's been found." She said as she held her other hand. I was shocked at her affection and I asked her why she was doing this. "James if you're happy I am happy. If it takes for me to love her for you to be happy, so be it dear." I moved to her side and hugged her. I never expected this. "Thanks." I said as a sob escaped.
"I'll leave you with her. Let me talk to John(the OCS)" Isaid as I started leaving. "She's in good hands Jim." She said and I felt relieved.
