Frisk's POV

My death counts were around, 11, I guess? This is the 12th time. Anyway, Chara's been telling me for her to possess my body because she wanted so bad to kill the comedian, but I was not letting her and telling her that I was still strong enough to fight him.

His attacks were not like his brother's. His were more... brutal, I guess. He's not yet tired, but I can feel it in my soul that he didn't want to fight. I was just the only one who was pushing him to do so.

"you, uh, really like swinging that thing around, huh?
listen, i know you didn't answer me before, but... somewhere in there, i can feel it. there's a glimmer of a good person inside of you. the memory of someone who once wanted to do the right thing. someone who, in another time, might have been... a friend? c'mon, buddy. do you remember me? please, if you're listening... let's forget all this, ok? just lay down your weapon and... well, my job will be a lot easier."

He's sparing me. Will I give back the same thing?
'Frisk, don't let your goodness overcome you, it might be a trick.' Chara warned me.
'But it feels like he's saying it truly, and his statement tugged my heart a little.'
'Oh c'mon, don't let that comedian fool you'
'How can you be so sure that this is a trick?'
'Do you think he will just let all these things slip and spare you? Of course not. Use your brain, stupid.'

Well she has a point, he can't just slip all these. But I can feel that he's not lying, he won't be sparing me if he doesn't care about me. Instead of fighting, I laid down the knife and spared him.
'What are you doing, you idiot?' Chara exclaimed.

"you're sparing me? finally. buddy, pal. i know how hard it must be. . . to make that choice. to go back on everything you've worked up to. i want you to know that... i won't let it all go to waste. c'mere pal."

I walked towards him. Before I can get near him, he lifted his left hand and bones appeared underneath. They were decreasing my HP.

"get dunked on... if we're really friends, you won't come back."

After that, my HP went to zero and my soul broke into pieces.

"What did I tell you? To not fall into his trap. Now that you're dead, we'll go back to the beginning and do it all over again." Chara lectured.

It feels like I want to reset. I am tired of this fight. But I need to stay determined. I can just reset if I want, besides I am the one who's controlling my body. The two buttons turned up in front of me. CONTINUE or RESET. Chara saw this and asked what am I doing. I ignored her. I was about to touch the button but something flew from behind me. A knife.

"You ain't touching that button." She said sternly.

I froze in my place and didn't even dare touching the button.

"After we had worked so hard killing these monsters, do you think I will let them go to waste?"
"If you're thinking that my answer is 'yes', you're wrong. I won't let that happen. If you're already tired of fighting that bonehead, then I'll do it. I'll kill him and end this run YOU chose."

Seconds had passed and neither of us talked. I was about to touch the button when she stopped me and possessed my body. She took control of me. I begged her to leave my body and I will finish this run, but she didn't even hesitate to do so. I tried going back to my body, but I can't. I tried calling out for help, but nobody came. We're at the entrance of the Last Corridor again. She walked towards the direction where sans is and stopped 1 pillar away from him.
