Star's POV
"Eh? Why did you reject him? He looks cute to me." I ask.
"Cute?! Maybe, but he's a jerk." Mabel spats.
"How come?"
"He almost killed Dipper with his amulet! whatever you call that thing. Thanks to me I came at their location on time. And I only treat him as a friend."
"Oh, that explains why."
We've been sharing stories since we started walking. I told her where I came from and how me and Marco became best friends. She told me how they got in their uncle's shack, Gravity Falls, Oregon, her summer romance-- I laughed at that part. She also told me how she gained friends and the party battle with Pacifica--that girl was a meanie. And lastly, how Gideon wanted Mabel to be his girl. Haha, her stories are ridiculous. We tried inviting Frisk and the boys to join us, but they refused. My bestie and Dipper are talking with each other. The other two are quiet. They won't talk to us, just...silent. Maybe because of the argument a while ago. I'm still confused on what they were talking about though. Were they referring to a video game? I'm guessing it was, also because they mentioned the word 'reset', and video games have it.
"Star."
I turn my head to look at it.
"Oh, Mabel."
"I've been wondering."
"What are you wondering?"
She leans close to me until I can feel her breathing.
"About Sans and Frisk's fight."
"I'm guessing it. The reset thing, right?" I whisper
"Has it been bugging you too?" she whispers back.
"Yeah. I think they were talking about a video game, but that video game is where they live." I theorize.
"I guess your right, but we're not sure if your theory is correct."
"We can make sure of it if we ask them, but I'm nervous."
"Same here. Sans was scary when he got mad... Do you think bro-bro and Marco also thought the same?"
"I dunno. They're not talking about it to us." I say, voice getting audible.
We have been walking for too long by the way. My legs are already aching. I decide we should take a break from walking. To my surprise, they all agree and sit on the ground. All us are silent until someone speaks,
"Hey guys. Why don't we chat about something?" Mabel suggests.
"What do you want to talk about?" Dipper asks.
"Anything just to keep us entertained." Mabel says happily. A minute has passed, but no one's speaking.
"Oooor, we can play a game!" Mabel suggests again.
"What game?" I question.
"Truth or dare."
I hate truth or dare. I already did that game, but instead of dare, it was punishment. I know I'm being a kill joy, but seriously I don't wanna play that game.
"Nope." I quickly say.
"No! We'll play whenever you like it or not." Mabel forces me.
"But I don't like it." I protest.
"Aw, don't be like that. Just try it." Mabel forces me more.
One will not hurt. Guess I'll try.
"Okay. Just don't ask embarrassing questions." I condition.
"Yey! Is everyone in?" she asks.
They all agree boringly.
"Riiiiight. I'll be asking first. I'll choose... Star."
"Huh, why m--"
"Truth or dare?"
"I choose truth." I give in.
She thinks for a moment and opens her mouth again.
"Who do you have a crush on but fall for him as time goes by."
My face blushes at her question. I can't just say the truth here. I'll get my self embarrassed.
"I-it's a secret." I excuse.
"Ah ah, no secrets." Mabel says.
I don't wanna lie, but I don't want to tell it either. I don't have any choice but to lie.
"As my friends know, i-it's Oscar from our school." I answer, hesitating. I'm really bad at lying. She looks convinced at my answer though. Phew, that was a close one.
"Star, you're next to ask." says Mabel.
"I'll ask... Dipper." I smile and look at him.
I see him murmuring something. I'm not really sure what to ask.
"Truth or dare?"
"To be different, I'll choose dare."
I think for a moment... BINGO!
"Dance." I order.
"What?" Dipper asks calmly.
Didn't he hear it or--
"Star said dance." Mabel repeats while grinning.
"What kind of dance?" he asks.
"Any kind. Just dance." I reply, smirking a little.
"I know one, but I can't do it without a costume."
"Then do it without the costume. It's not like it'll do a difference."
"I can't really do the dance without a costume."
"Oh shut up. You're just making an excuse." Mabel chimes in. I look at the others. Marco's giggling while his clenched fist is on his lips. Sans and Frisk are slightly enjoying the show. Glad they're slowly moving on from their argument.
"I'm serious. I can't do it wi--" Dipper protests but is cut off.
"Hey guys, I think I saw something over there. Or is it my imagination?"
