The Makeover
CHAPTER 19 (EDITED)“Doing something positive will help turn your mood around. When you smile, your body relaxes. When you experience human touch and interaction, it eases tension in your body.”

"Johnson?" The receptionist called out. All three of us, Amber, my mother and myself stood up.
Le Magnificent was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen or had the chance to visit. Everything was a neutral brown tone with some waterfalls acting in place of walls. The light was dim, giving the place a peaceful setting as soft music played in the background.
It reminded me of an oasis.
"That would be us," my mother said as the lady dressed in white apprached us.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Lisa and I will be your guide for today," she handed out beaded bracelts that all matched. "You will be needing those as identification," she stated. "If you will follow me," she said as she smiled warmly at us. We walked onto a neat stone path and behind a curtain that resembled the beads she had just given us.
As soon as we crossed the curtain, I wondered vaguely how big this place was? The whole back was a large area and separated off into different directions. Almost like a cave.
"If you just head into there, there will be clothes for you to change in. There will also be a key so you can lock your stuff there," Lisa said as she gestured to the changing stalls.
"Thank you," I said as we headed into our own rooms. I closed the door behind me and I looked at the stuff folded neatly onto the bench.
Quickly, I changed into the one-size fits all dress and wrapped the robe around me. Once I was done I headed out of the change room and back out into the main area with the key in my pocket.
Amber was finished and already there with her hair wrapped into a messy bun.
"Is your mom done?" Amber questioned after a moment as my mom still hadn't appeared.
"Uhm -"
"URGH!" Came my mother's voice.
I panicked as thought there was possibly something wrong with the baby. "Mom!" I asked quickly and there was a moment of silence.
"The dress doesn't fit!" My mom yelled in anger. Amber and I looked at each other before laughing. "Uh, stop laughing and help me!" My mom cried.
I shook my head in amusement. "Excuse me." I said approaching Lisa who was looking through a booklet.
She looked up and smiled at me. "Yes?" She questioned.
"I was wondering if you could help my mother? The dress doesn't fit her because of the baby," I said and Lisa nodded with an understanding smile. She walked off and disappeared for a moment before returning with a different white dress.
"Try this," she said handing it to me. I smiled and walked off to a still giggling Amber.
"It's not funny!" I heard my mom yell again. Smiling I knocked on the door. "What?" she said in a disgruntled voice.
"I got a bigger dress for you," I stated. Slowly, the door opened up a crack. Just enough for my mother to stick out her arm and grab it.
"Thank you," she said shortly. After another moment the door opened wide to reveal my mother dressed in her robe, her cheeks red with embarrassment.
