/no one/ August 13th, 2016 [Chicago med]

Gabby and Jimmy run into the hospital with Jenna on a stretcher with severide right behind them on a stretcher

Will Halstead and Connor Rhodes runs over to us...

"What do we got?" Will asks gabby

"Casey, Jennifer 31 leg impaled by a support beam" gabby says

"What do we got?" Rhodes asks Chout about severide

"Smoke inhalation, injuries due from falling, possible broken collar bone" Chout says

"Trama 4" will says about casey

"Trama 2" Rhodes says to Chout about severide

They nod and rush them into there rooms to begin operation "fix the firemen"

2 hours later

Severide has woken up with memory of nothing that happened Rhodes had told everyone he won't remember what had happen during that call, but they would have to tell him because he most likely would ask later on but right now he was asking about Jennifer and how she was...

"Jennifer's leg was impaled by a support beam, we were able to get remove the beam and stop the bleeding it'll be a while before she returns to work and she needs to go through intense physical therapy, but she had breathing difficultys causing us needing to hook her up to a breathing machine to assist her" will informs severide finally answering his question

"Your not serious, good luck getting her to wait long before returning to work" severide says rolling his eyes

Everyone could tell he was pissed, no One knew why he was pissed he just was...

"if she doesn't stay off her leg she will mess it up more severide. She was so close to being paralysed for life, she lucky she will be returning to her firefighting job" will says a little more sternly

"Whatever, she wouldn't even be in the hospital if it wasn't for me not protecting her" Kelly says looking down

Wills face softened as he looked at Kelly and listened

"You didn't know anything would happened so you couldn't do anything about it" will responds and kelly nods

"Get some sleep, you should be released in two days but you can't return to work for a week" will says walking out

Kelly falls into a deep sleep thinking about how great his family is and how much he thinks he loves Jenna

:Two days later:

Severide just got out of he hospital and staying on bed rest for am little while at his house, struck rules are that shay does everything for him cook, clean etc.

No thing has changed with jenna, Matt and everyone is concerned but severide is taking this the worse his phone bill is through the roof from calling will, rhodes, boden and Matt trying to get updates on Jenna

Severide is laying in bed watching the Blackhawks game on tv while eating some pizza and drinking a beer

His phone ringing interrupts his game

He turns on his phone to see the picture him and Jenna took in the fire academy years back

He smiles then looks at the called ID TO see is Matthew

"Hello?" Severide says waiting for an update on Jenna's condition

"Shes awake and breathing and is asking for you" Matt says to severide over the phone

"I'm on my way, meet me there" severide says into the phone while getting up and getting dressed

"SHAY, COME TAKE ME TO MED" severide yells out of his bedroom door

"What why?" She asks from around the corner

"Shes awake and well" severide says pulling on his jacket and grabbin his phone

"Oh my gosh really?" Shay asks smiling wide

"Yes let's go" Kelly says grabbing the car keys and chuckling them  to shay

They get into the car and rush to med

Walking in to med Matt is waiting for him at the door

They meet and make there way into her room

"Hey" Jenna says weakly

"Hey, how ya feeling?" Kelly asks gently

"Like I got impaled by a beam" she says smirking

"Still your old self though" kelly states happily

"Yeah, I could be better though" she says laughing softly

"Did will tell you how long you'd have to be off work for?" Kelly says cutting straight to the point

"Yeah a month of medical leave and two weeks of physical therapy, fuckin sucks" she states looking at te ground pissed

"Yeah I'm sorry" Kelly says looking down at his feet

"For what?" She asks looking closely at severide

"I could have done more to help you" Kelly says

"No you couldn't" she says smiling at him knowing that this wasn't the first time he was told this

"Well I'm still sorry that you have to go through all of this"  Kelly says look in at her

"Seriously what's going on with you to?" Matt asks fro  the door

"Nothing" they both say at the same time

"Oh yeah because shay told me that you guys sex in her laundry room" Matt says smirking

He walks closer to severide and looks him up and down then gets a serious face on

"If you hurt her I will cut off your balls and feed them to hellhounds" Matt says and howl out his hand for Kelly to shake

Kelly shakes Casey's hand and nods

"Deal" Kelly says looking back at a surprised looking Jennifer

"What the flipping hell is going on" Jen asks

"I'm giving Kelly my blessing" Casey says

"I'm not ready to be married" she says looking the other way clearly know in what Casey mean

"Thanks man" Kelly says as Matt leaves

Matt nods and leaves to go home to his wife and Louie

Meanwhile severide stay at the hospital and holds Jenna all night untill needing to head to work with the promise that he would come visit her during not so busy hour of shift...
