"Desmond?"

"Delsin! It's Delsin! We've been over this ten times already."

Ten is very accurate. I've actually been counting how many times this lady called him that. Who even is Desmond? Reeder curled her fingers into the concrete floor, scanning over the red head talking with her enemy. Fuck this shit. Delsin could kiss her ass at this point. As many times as she had to rescue him from the mess he got himself into, Reeder would've thought she learned how not to rescue Delsin, but here she was, saving him.

Again.

Reeder stood, stretching out her muscles for the swing she was about to take. As Augustine went deeper into her speech about who-knows-what, Delsin swung idly in the middle of the arena-like room by his feet. His arms hung below his head, and his mouth kept making popping noises. It was clear he was ignoring her - or pretending to ignore her - and it was really getting under her skin. Yet, she kept talking.

"Hey, yo, August." The DUP leader stared in disgust, "That's not my name." "It is now." "Ugh." "Do you remember what happened last time you decided to spew random nonsense at me?"

Reeder gritted her teeth together. He knows I'm here. Might as well get it overwith. The female reader-insert character leapt from off of the ledge, spreading her arms out like a bird. An uplift of wind carried her weight down, but kept enough gravity at bay for her to fly across the room. Reeder smiled at the rush of speed she gathered from the height, then swooped in, grabbing Delsin and dragging him with her. She used a bit more wind to force them both up and over the concrete walls, but managed to get them both out nonetheless. Once out, her wind magic failed them, and they both began to fall.

Reeder grabbed Delsin by the arms, grinning ear to ear. The two delinquents fell in style, spinning around and twirling, flipping, acting out Fortnite dances. Neither of them seemed worried about falling to the ground, and even seemed excited to fall.

Several dozen stories from the ground, Reeder twisted and put Delsin above her, so her back was facing the ground. She clasped his waist tight, making sure she had a grip on him before she did anything. Delsin held onto her too.

The wind underneath them shoved them up, halting their descent. Reeder swung them upright, almost losing her grip on Delsin, but pulling through. They laughed and joked as Reeder used her powerful wind magic to shoot them through the air.

Delsin was your damsel in distress.

You were the knight.

You would always fight for him.

Even if you hated him.

Together, the two of you fought against ecery threat to conduits, and both of you dedicated your lives to it.

But he was still getting himself into trouble.

And you had to save him.
