Eyes watering.
Lungs tightening.
Breathing heavy.
Zeke shot up from his couch, eyes wide. "God dammit." He scolded himself as he sat up, wiping his face of the tears which rolled from his eyes. There was no reason for him to react like this to such a simple action. It happened all the time, so why the one time he got dumped by someone other than a mortal he felt this way?
Zeke took a breath, sitting up and rubbing his knees, and hoped he could stand... unlike last time.
Slowly, the mortal rose to his feet. Today is the day I have to confront her. Recently, Tosha had been doing missions with Cole. She has been avoiding him to avoid the anxiety, he knew. Tosha was never the one for confronting a stressful social situation, but she had no problem kicking the asses of the militia. She was part of the reason Cole was still alive. Electricity and ice were two main components for disaster, and Tosha had no problem mixing her abilities with Cole's to create chaos.
As Zeke stared out, he saw the two jumping off of rail carts, and enjoying themselves without him.
Nix placed a hand on his shoulder, "You'll be okay, man." That's awfully uncharacteristic of you.
"I've known her for a while. She'll likely come back."
