Allegedly

Eyes that pierce me like a dart
I know that I shan't stare back
But it gets really hard
When everything turns from black

My face twitches wrinkly
I should smile when you look
I cannot help but quickly
Look back down at my book

I cannot help but wonder you
They say you are not a rabbit
I do not know what is true
But 'tis like it has become a habit

And when you walk by
At my work I stare
So hard is how you try
To pull me into your lair

Hop hop hop
Like a rabbit you squirm
But hop hop hop
Is that really what you yearn?
