Today I spoke with an angel
She told me that I did just fine
She said if I needed anything at all
She would be by my side
On my first day seated beside her
She greatly welcomed me with care
A full good hearted smile
And the night sky painted her hair
She encouraged me to play out
Without a single care or fear
And all the kindness in her heart
Is something I value so dear
There is nothing that could surmount
Her hard work and dedication
And even though some test her
She still keeps her prized patience
She made me feel so welcome
Gently pushing me from my comfort zone
Being as warm-hearted as her
Is a skill I aspire to hone
