maybe it's a breakthrough
my friends like me
i even got new pals, too
it's a feel good attitude,
when you think of the
good moments that life is
and imagine that there's
nothing else
it's the late night laughs,
meeting their families,
matching fuzzy socks,
singing in the car to school
even though we're exhausted,
a lousy dinner joint,
craft stores and thrift shops,
i should be asleep,
but i'm out with my friends
smiling and roaring with laughter
i don't want it to end
in confidence I can say
it won't.
