Chapter 9

FLASH BACK-
"I do"
"I pronounce you husband and wife"
"You may kiss the bride" the priest announced

Steven tipped me over and kissed me so passionately i got goosebumps.
Everyone whistled and cheered. I was the happiest girl in the world at that moment. Steve was holding me close and walked down the isle hand in hand with the happiest smiles on our faces. When we walked out there was the most magical white carriage waiting for us. He helped me up and followed me taking a seat beside me and held my hand kissing me on my lips.
" i love you wife"
"I love you husband " I said giggling like a child against his shoulder.
" lets go put on a show for our guest shall we" Steve said biting my ear.

Stevens POV

Standing front of the new-east restaurant. I held her hand was about ti enter when I heard someone call my name
"Steven. Congratulations on your special day"
I was taken back with who i saw standing there.
"Chuck. What are you doing here.?" I asked getting nervous.
" well now is that a way to greet an old friend "
" I'm here to support you and let you know I haven't forgotten you" chuck said
I didn't know what to say. He's here means its not good. And I'm in deep shit. Something is wrong and I don't know what.
"Stevie my boy such bad manners" he turns to nessa and kisses both cheeks
" chuck, im a old friend of his." He introduced himself"
"Please go on in. We will be seeing more of each other" said chuck stepping away from our path.
My palms were getting sweaty and i took my handkerchief out wiped my and and held nessas hand and walked in.

Everyone stood up and cheered for us. Nessa looked at me with a frown.
"Is everything alright,you seem to be shaking a bit" I didn't notice it. I soon looked down at her and smiled patting her hand.
" everything is fine. Its the first time im meeting your family." She grinned and nodded
" everyone is gonna love you. Don't worry " she tried reassuring.

Vanessa POV

" I'm relieved that you have your friend here"
I said looking around. The setting was gorgeous it was just the way I wanted.
" oh baby doesn't this whole place look amazing " looking around i felt happy.
"Yes it is. Perfect just like you" Steven said kissing me.

Brandon came towards us with Amanda right behind him.
" cake time" He said giving me a knife with a long ribbon tied to it.
" ok,ok," i said as Amanda was pulling us towards the cake. Steven and i cut the cake. Photographers were clicking and flashes were blinding. But we didn't care. We were enjoying ourselves and everyone seems to be enjoying too. Everything was perfect.

We drove of in Steve's car. We arrived at the triton hotel a few hours later. We checked in under a false name as Steve said he didn't want any unwanted attention. The hotel room was breathtaking. Just then Steve got a call he stepped out on the balcony and i started unpacking a few things i needed. Finally we are alone together and no one to stop us. I bought some purple lingerie to put on tonight. I was feeling excited already. I was about to get in the shower when Steven came in with a worried look on his face.
" hey babe is anything wrong " I asked getting worried my self.
" there has been an accident " he was rubbing his jaw looking like he didn't know what to say.
"Its your dad" my knees felt week. I just dropped to the floor and started crying.
" he's in a bad shape" he sat down next to me on the floor and held me while stroking my back.
" we should go to the hospital now" he said again and all I could do was nod. 
" come on we should go. Lets leave the things and come for them later" he said and helped me stood up.

When we got to the hospital Brandon was standing out the operating theater with lost look in his eyes. I rushed to him and hugged him.
"What happened to daddy" I asked finally.
" i was right behind him" he said tears running down his eyes.
" i saw the whole thing happen"
"A truck came out of nowhere. Just drove him off the road. He rammed into a tree."
"He just drove off Ness" he said unbelievably. I was just crying I couldn't get a word out.
" I got to him as fast as I could and called 911"
"He was conscious when i got to him. He kept squeezing my hand" Thats all he said and broke down crying. It was braking my heart to see my brother like that. We just sat there holding hands praying it will be ok.

After half hour passed a doctor came out and spoke to Brandon.
"Mr Quinn im sorry we did all we can. But his bleeding couldn't be stopped. We are really very sorry for your loss" said the doctor and left. We were shown to a room were daddy was kept for us to say our goodbyes.
Steven held me while we were walking in. I started sobbing again as soon as i saw him. It cant be. He looks like he's sleeping. When we reached him I hugged him. I didn't want to let go. I cant.
" oh daddy what am I going to do"
"Pls dont leave"
"Pls come back"
"Im sorry daddy"
"Im sorry " is all I could say before I lost consciousness.

After daddy's funeral. The police informed us that the person who ran my dad over was caught. Turns out he was hired by a man to do it. But in no time will get who did it too. I cant believe who would want daddy dead. Why. He was A good man. Even his employees were crazy over him.

" Brandon where are you going"i asked as he stood to go.
" i need to head to the police station for some questioning " he said.
"Steve. I know you need to be with ness right now. But there are a few things that need nessa's attention at the office"
" ness will you be ok going " he asked again. I saw a slight smile spread on steves lips but i must have imagined it.
" ness your not in a state to deal with business. I can go and check on things and we can come to and agreement " steve said standing up.
"If its ok with you" he added.
" thank you baby. Im so glad your here" I said thankful he's here. 
I knew i cant do it. Everything reminded me of daddy. I am so devastated that I haven't eaten or slept in days. Everyone tried to console me but i just cant stop crying.
Amanda came in a few minutes after the boys left.
" you should eat something ness" she said worried.
All i did was cry. Amanda tried feeding me some sandwiches but as soon as i got it down it came right back up. I cant seem to keep it down.
Amanda helped me brush my teeth and put me to bed.
" you need to rest honey" she said pulling the cover over me.
" thank you Amanda." I said as I closed my eyes giving myself up to the darkness.
