Chapter 14

Adam was getting some guest checked in while i was on the phone with a lady inquiring about some bookings. I was checking the details on the computer when someone tapped on my shoulder and said
"Excuse me" i looked up to find myself face to face with Julie. I gave her a professional fake smile and mouthed one sec. she seemed annoyed but nodded and waited. When i was done I turned to Julie.
" how can i help you"
"Well I'm waiting for Sebastian. We are going for a drive and he promised to show me some romantic places"  she said
" yes thats nice. But how can i help you" i asked again forcing myself to smile.
" well can you check with him if he's coming down now"
" of coarse, one moment" I dialed Mr Mathews number and waited for him to answer. Just then Sebastian walked in looking like a movie star. In a white tee shirt and gray pants. He looked soo gorgeous I could melt just looking at him.
" Sebastian darling I was just getting this girl to see what time you'll be down." She said with her slithering voice wrapping her slithery hand around his arm. Sebastian smiled and gently shook her hand off. I saw her pout but quick as a flash gave him a smile but Sebastian ignored it.
" this girl here is Vanessa. I would appreciate it if you would show some respect" he said with a firm voice. Julie's face paled a few shades.
"I'm sorry Sebastian. But what about our date"
"I never promised you a date julie" Sebastian said in total control.
" you promised to take me sightseeing today" she whined.
"Oh but i cant go with you as I already have a few meetings today "
" oh but you promised me Sebastian. "
" did i. Well if you really need to go i can send you with Samuel " he said uncaring.
" oh darling that's absurd."
"What about tomorrow "she asked again.
" i have some interviews to do for my secretary position, so ill be busy all day for that" she pouted like toddlers who was told no cookies.
"Oh Sebastian cant you arrange a time for us to spend together"
" well ill have check with secretary And let you know" he said irritated. Not waiting for her answer he turned to me.
" actually Vanessa i came to meet you. Do you have a minute." Didn't see that coming.
"Of course sir" I looked up at him like a puppy waiting for a treat.
" ms swan has decided to leave us. And i was wandering if you would like to apply for her position "
"But sir I don't have any experience for something like that"
" nonsense. Its nothing much. You can speak to ms swan about details. And would like if someone I'm familiar with could take the position. Less hassle. " he said shrugging. before finally adding.
" if your interested hand in your cv and come for the interview tomorrow at 10" and turned to leave.
"That's absurd Sebastian. You cant give her the position." Said a annoyed Julie who was listening to the conversation.
" i think she's perfect for the job" Sebastian said firmly.
" i don't like it" she added again.
" Julie this is my business and I would greatly appreciate it if stayed out of it" Sebastian roared and walked off. Julie was lost for words and she looked like fish out of water. She turned to me and gave me the most venomous look that gave me chills.
By that time Adam was done with his duty and was standing by my side.
"Im so proud of you Ness" he said with a hand around my shoulder. I was too. It gave me hope. Felt like finally I'm getting some good changes heading my way.
