Chapter 17

I was on a bed and someone was holding my hand. I slowly open my eyes and turned towards that someone. It was ms swan.
"What happened .?"
"you fainted. And Mr Sebastian carried you to your room"
"Adam was here but Ms Sebastian didn't want another man staying alone with you in a room so I stayed back "
"Are you alright " she sounded so concerned. I was trying to think what happened but couldn't.
"What happened.?"
"Don't you remember. We were having lunch together and you stepped out to answer a call but Mr Sebastian said she doesn't look alright and rushed towards you just in time to catch you from falling." Suddenly everything started coming back. "No!! No..!!No..!!" I started panicking again. Looking around
"Where is my phone. I need to call Adam please " i was begging her.
"Im sorry dear Mr Sebastian must have it. Let me call him."
"No. ! Please can you call Adam please." I say with tears in my eyes. She nodded and dialed a number
"Adam yeah she's awake and wants you here."
"Yes." She replies and hung up.
" what in the world happened" she asked worried.
"He was at Mr Sebastians office he said he'll be here" she said holding my hand. Just then I heard a bang on the door. And ms swan rushed to open it. Adam rushed over to me and hugged me.
"Oh god i was so worried Ness. Are you alright" he asked not letting go.
" im never going to be alright Adam never " i say and start sobbing.
" what happened Ness. Please tell me" he says with a choked voice. It only makes me cry even more.
"Ness please. What the hell. Who called you ?" He asked again. I started shaking my head.
"How...?" Was all I could say before I started sobbing again.
"Mr Sebastian said you got a call and he saw you go pale. He wanted to know who could possibly upset you so much." 
"Ness you've got to tell me what's going on" i looked up at Adam and was trying to say something but words are not forming. My throat felt like sandpaper.
" here drink this" someone said holding a glass of water. When I turned i saw Sebastian standing with worry lines across his forehead. I took it with shaking hands.
"Let me help you" he said while bringing the glass to my lips. I sipped it and rested my head against Adams Chest. I looked up at him tears flowing down freely
"He's back" is all I could say before I started crying again.
"What do you mean he's back. Who is back..? Ness.  Who is..." was all he said before realization dawned on him.
"No..!! Steve..?" He asked horrified. And I nodded. Crying even harder.
"Who is Steve.?" Boomed Mr Sebastian voice from behind.
"Mr Sebastian I would like to speak to Ness alone please. Im sure she will explain to you when she has regained herself." Adam said standing up to lead Sebastian out so he can talk to me in private.
"But." Was Sebastian could say before he was rushed out by ms swan and closed the door.
"Ness. Please stop crying and tell me what happened" Adam said his voice sounding strained.
"Adam. He knew my number." I said in between sobs.
"I used to get calls from a unknown number for some months now. But didn't think much of it"
"Today is the first time he spoke" i went on to explain what happened.
"I only started to relax a bit"
"How did he get my number.?"
"Adam what am I going to do" i grab on to Adam and cry my heart out. Hoping all those memories will stop coming back. They seem so fresh right now i can scream.
"Ness I should contact Brandon and tell him what happened. Maybe he can tell us something more about it" he was saying in deep thought.
"Are you gonna be ok for a few minutes till i make some calls" he asked.
"Give me a call as soon as you feel the slightest uncomfortable " he told me.
"Where is my phone.?" I asked looking around.
"oh your phone must be still with Sebastian. He was going through your call log to see who spooked you so much. He wanted to call the police but i asked him to hold off until you regained consciousness "
"I'll speak to him and get your phone back for you ok." Explains Adam.
"Will you be ok if I stepped out a bit Ness. Are you sure " he asked again when I nodded my head.
"Ok then ill be back as soon as I finish making some calls ok" he said as I continued to nod.

Adam walking out the door when Sebastian barged in rushing towards me. Taking my hand into his.
"I just cant stand this anymore. Please princess tell me who hurt you like this"
"I'm gonna kill that asshole." He said pulling me close. Adam came and pulled him away from me.
" what the hell do you think your doing" he asked Adam looking angry. Sebastian was thrown off guard for a second. Sebastian quickly regained himself and Looked at Adam held him by his shirt holding Adam away from him and raised a hand ready to punch him.
"Stop please" I begged. Both turned to me and Sebastian dropped both hands to his sides.
"Im sorry Nessa. All I wanted to do was help you i feel so helpless right now. Please let me help." Adam looked at me and then at Sebastian. And turned back to me.
"Ness i need to make those calls. Will be alright."
"Adam its ok. You go. Tell Brandon ill call him soon" I just couldn't speak to Brandon right now. Its everything hurts. All the memories are so raw in my mind now.
"I'll speak to him and explain. Don't worry we'll get through this. Im here for you. Ok." He said holding my hand and gave me squeeze before he left.
"Nessa are you ok. Want me to get you something to drink?"
"You didn't get to have breakfast and didn't get a chance to have lunch. so I asked the kitchen to prepare something and sent it over." At the mention of food my tummy was rumbling.
"Glass of cool water. Im sorry to ask you but I don't trust my legs ti walk right now" Sebastian shot up and rushed to the fridge but when he opened it there was nothing there.
"Oh I didn't have time to get to a store yet. Sink is fine" I said feeling a bit embarrassed. He filled a glass and brought it to me. I took it with shaky hands and gulped it down.
"Ness can i sit next to you. I just want to know so i can help.who was it that called you.?" I nod and he sits down. I feel a little calmer. But how do I explain all this.
"Your boyfriend is gonna kill me but. I dont care" he says and puts his arms around me pulling me closer. For a second i was wandering what he was talking about. Then I remember how Adam had him think he's my boyfriend. I smiled at the thought.
"Adam is my best friend. Unless you would like to date him." Said smiling. Sebastian turned to me and looked into my eyes and i think my heart skipped a beat. When he realized what i had said his eyes widened and then softened with smile that can melt the snow queen.
"Do you know how happy that makes me.?" He said holding me tight. Oh god i felt like i was in heaven. I felt safe. I didn't want him to let go.

But the knock on the door brought me back to reality.
