When Mrs. Potts left the tea room, the door closed quietly and gently but Queen Lucia could feel that she wasn’t alone.

“Enjoying some afternoon tea are we your Majesty? Mind if I join you?” a cold voice said. Lucia looked up at the seat in front of her to find a man with red eyes sitting there. Although she remained silent, no fear could be seen in her. When Lucia didn’t answer, Dmitri smirked and slowly moved his face closer to hers.

“It’s not very nice ignoring people your Majesty,” Dmitri said with a cold laugh.

“It’s not very nice to barge in on a Queen while she’s having her afternoon tea either,” Lucia said, still staring at him calmly, keeping her face blank.

Dmitri burned with fury and raised his hand to slap her. When his hand was centimeters from her face, it hit an invisible shield. Dmitri tried over and over again to get through the magic but it just wouldn’t do, so Dmitri gave up and pulled back with a smile.

“Very impressive your Majesty. Now I see where Lorien gets her gift from,” Dmitri said coldly.

“If you’ve come here to threaten my daughter, don’t bother. You can’t touch her. She’s very powerful you know. Too powerful that sometimes, even she can’t control herself. She’s more powerful than me. I know what you are and I know what you have come for. Believe me, you have no purpose here,” Lucia said calmly. Dmitri smiled at her threat.

“Well, now I know what you know your Majesty, but do you want to know what I know?” Dmitri asked as he sat back in his seat. He took the tea cup out of her hand and took a sip before placing it back on the saucer in front of her. “I know that you haven’t got much time. I know what’s happening to you. See your Majesty, immortality can sometimes be a curse, and curses always go against you, they will always find a way to kill you.” As Dmitri said this, Queen Lucia looked at him with cold eyes, eyes like ice. Dmitri groaned in pain as a searing feeling went all throughout his body, like ten thousand needles were piercing him in all directions.

When Dmitri stopped groaning, he cracked his neck and said “well, it’s hard to believe that Lorien could be more powerful than you. That was very strong, and it hurt. I guess I am up for a challenge then.”

Lucia looked down at her tea, contemplating taking another sip but decided to leave it. She pushed the cup away from her. “What do you want?” Lucia asked curiously.

“I thought you already knew that,” Dmitri said, coldly. Lucia glared at him again and he screamed with pain. Lucia looked away.

“What do you want?” Lucia asked more sternly.

“Okay, I’m here to make you a deal,” Dmitri paused when the Queen grunted.

“I don’t make deals,” Lucia said, standing from her chair.

“Oh but you will love this one. I will save you from that virus, that poison that is floating around in your body if you give me one thing,” Dmitri paused again. Lucia urged him to continue. “Your daughter.” Dmitri said.

“No,” Lucia said, staring into his blood red eyes, trying to use her magic on him again. Dmitri smiled. One moment he was sitting in a chair facing the Queen, next moment, he was standing behind her, holding her chin and the top of her head, ready to break her neck. Lucia tried to fight him off with her magic but he was resisting it. She didn’t know that he was just as powerful as she was.

“See, your Majesty, consider this a favour. Wouldn’t you rather die a quick and painless death than let that virus slowly decay your body?” Dmitri said coldly. He laughed and twisted his wrists. There was a loud crack and the teacup that Lucia was holding smashed on the ground. Dmitri disappeared in a puff of silver smoke and Mrs. Potts came running into the room, screaming.
