In The Dark

Chapter 12

~ Jocelyn's P.O.V. ~

I wake up at 1pm. I'm super hungry. I press the nurse button and a nurse rushes in.

"Is everything okay?" She asks worried, checking my blood pressure.

"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just really hungry."

She smiles," Of course, what would you like?"

"Could I have a cheeseburger please?" I ask.

"Sure thing, I'll go get one for you right now." She says. I thank her as she walks out the door.

Louis walks in and sits on the edge on my bed. "Good news Jocelyn."

"What's that?" I ask.

"You get out today at 6!" He says, excited.

"Oh my God! No way!" I cheered. I hugged Louis and groaned.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing just my ribs. They're just sore," I explain.

I just sit in the hospital with Louis, Zayn, and Harry. The nurse brings in my sandwich and I eat and the boys and I just talk for awhile.

~ Liam's P.O.V. ~

"I.. Uhh.. I'm sorry!" Alyssa says and runs away from the table. She's running towards the elevator and I get there right as it's closing. I can't stop it in time.

I'm guessing she's going to Jocelyn's room. I run up the stairs and get to Jocelyn's room to see Alyssa inside with the three boys.

~ 5 hours later ~

~ Jocelyn's P.O.V. ~

I'm here with everyone but Niall. I really want to see him. Everyone sits around my bed, waiting for the nurse to let me go.

She walks in with a smile on her face.

"Which one of you is Jocelyn's legal guardian?" She asks. Shit. The only legal guardian I have is my mom.

"I am," Liam says and smiles. What?

"Here you go, sir. If you could sign here and here," she says pointing to spots on the paperwork. He quickly signs them and she helps get me to the wheelchair.

Liam wheels me out to the parking lot, with everyone else following.

"Wait! I want to see Niall!" I yell. He looks toward me with a sympathetic look.

"You can't. He can't have any visitors for a few days. He's in a coma," he mumbles the last part.

"What?!" I scream and instantly start crying. I hold my head in my hands as tears stream down my face.

"I'm sorry, Joce," Liam says as a tear falls from his eye. He hugs me and I hide my face in his shirt. He picks me up and sets me in the back of the car, and sits next to me. He hands the keys to Harry and he gets in the driver's seat.

Louis sits in the passenger seat and Alyssa and Zayn get into another car. Liam scoots a little closer to me and holds me in his arms as I cry.

"It's going go be okay, Jocelyn. I promise. Niall will be okay," he cries.

"It doesn't matter what you say, that doesn't change the fact that Niall is in a coma!" I yell at him and instantly regret it.

"I know, but it's always good to be positive," he says sounding a little hurt.

"I'm sorry," I mumble before I pass out.

~ Harry's P.O.V. ~

I look back and see Jocelyn sleeping in Liam's arms. He's looking out the window.

"Hey mate, are you okay?" I ask Liam and look back towards the road.

"Yeah, I just hate seeing Jocelyn sad, and I kinda have feelings for this girl and I don't know what to do about it."

"Wait, you like Jocelyn?!" I yell. He shushes me and I look to make sure Jocelyn didn't wake up. Luckily, she didn't.

"No! It's someone else." He said.

"Oh it's your old high school friend Alyssa isn't it?" I smirk. He blushes and looks down at Jocelyn. I laugh.

"Yeah, but I don't know if she likes me," he says. I frown.

"How can you not see it! She likes you!" Louis says.

"Yeah she totally likes you man!" Harry agrees. He smiles. I decide to turn on the radio and it's 'Best Song Ever' by us.

I change the station and I hear 'Na Na' by Trey Songz. I laugh and turn it up.

"Ooh na na, look what you just started,

Ooh na na, I'm bout to spend all this cash,

I quietly sang along and laughed. We arrive in the driveway of our home that Jocelyn has stayed at for the past few months.

I turn off the ignition and get out of the car. I help Liam get Jocelyn out and Louis gets out of the passenger seat.

Zayn and Alyssa pull up behind us and they both get out. Alyssa looks tired.

She's swerving back and forth and she seems drunk, but I know she didn't have anything to drink. I guess tiredness can do a lot to you.

Then she falls over and blacks out. I scream and run over to her.
