In The Dark

Chapter 31

~ Louis' P.O.V. ~

Jocelyn and Niall left two days ago. Connor is still captured. The police are still searching for him. But, we are on lockdown.

We aren't allowed to leave the house. We just sit around all day, which is really depressing. It makes me about the whole situation a whole lot more than I wanted.

I miss Jocelyn and Niall so much. I don't miss Connor, because I haven't known him long. But I know Jocelyn cares about him, so I'm worried he'll get hurt.

I've been sitting in my room and haven't left except to go to the bathroom. I refuse to eat except sometimes I have some fruit, because Harry insists that I do.

"Louis?" Harry asks quietly coming into my room.

"What?" I ask, sounding a little sassy. I instantly feel guilty, because he's done nothing wrong, but I stay quiet.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have bothered you," he mumbles, his face showing hurt. Dammit.

He slowly walks out of my room. Just as the door I yell, "Wait!" Harry walks back in. I pat a spot on my bed.

He sits next to me, staring at his hands intently.

"I miss you Lou," he whispers. I lean forward and rest my head on his right shoulder.

"I miss you more," I whisper back. He grabs my hand and we sit there, just enjoying the comfortable silence.

He picks up our intertwined fingers and softly kisses my palm. My heartbeat starts to race.

"I love you," I breathe out.

"I love you more," he smiles.

"Not possible," I smirk. He lightly laughs. "You're my little spoon."

My phone starts to buzz on my dresser. Harry stands and grabs down. I whine at the loss of his touch. His eyes widen as he looks at my screen.

"What?" I ask curious. He just stands there in shock. I climb out of bed and my legs ache. But I continue to walk over.

I look at screen and see the name 'lynn 💋' popped up on my screen.

"Well answer it!" I raise my voice, taking the phone from harry and clicking answer.

"JOCELYN?" I yell into the phone. I hear a sigh of relief on the other side of the phone.

"Thank god you answered, I needed to talk to you. I miss you the most Lou."

"I miss you the mostest dammit." she laughs at the word 'mostest'. "I miss your hugs."

"You're the greatest best friend ever, I love you so fucking much Lou!" she says.

"I love you too Lynn," I smirk at the nickname. She dies laughing, she's always loved my nicknames for her.

"You're amazing, well I can't talk much longer. Niall and I are about to get onto a ferry headed over to Ireland."

"Wow, I can't believe you're going to Ireland right now. What a huge change of plans," I say, thinking about what we could be doing right now. Well to be honest, if she were here, we'd probably just sit around and eat and watch tv.

I mentally laugh at myself. "Louis?"

"Yeah? Sorry I spaced out."

"Oh I was just saying, I wanted you to tell the boys I miss them all, and Alyssa and Makayla if you get to see them soon. Sadly, I can't contact of all you guys individually so I chose to call you."

"I will make sure they know, we're all thinking about you and Niall," I smile. Then suddenly I think of Connor. I decide not to say anything at the moment.

"We're both thinking of all you guys as well, love you Lou, see you soon," she made a kissing noise through the phone. I laugh telling her I love her as well and make a similar kissing noise.

She hangs up and I set my phone back on the dresser. I fall to my knees and sob, as Harry comforts me while quietly singing me my favorite song.
