In The Dark

Chapter 10

~ Liam's P.O.V. ~

Alyssa and I hugged for what seemed like hours. I can't believe this. I never thought I would see her again.

She gets a coffee and walks with me to Jocelyn's room.

"Hey Jocelyn, how are you doing?" I ask as I walk over next to her bed. I kiss her forehead and sit down.

"I'm okay. How's Niall?" She asks. I tell her he's doing fine.

"Alyssa come here," I say. Alyssa comes over and sits on my lap and cuddles up to me. Jocelyn gives us a weird look and I laugh.

"What's going on between you two? And who are you?" She asks, winking at us. I feel my face heat up.

"We're just friends. Nothing more." I say. Alyssa looks sad for a second but quickly smiles again. I should talk to her about it later.

"When can I get out of here?" Jocelyn whines.

I laugh, "Soon, Jocelyn. Soon."

"I'm going to rest, okay? Wake me up in a couple hours?" Jocelyn asks. I nod my head. She turns around and lowers her hospital bed down.

"C'mon Alyssa let's let her rest." We walk out and head back to Niall's room.

We see Louis, Zayn, and Harry sitting outside of Niall's room. Harry has dried tears on his cheeks.

"What's wrong?" Alyssa asks. Harry and Zayn look up to her.

"Niall, he's uhh.. In a coma at the moment. He won't wake up," Harry cries.

Alyssa looks up to me. I'm completely devastated.

"But he was okay before.." I say.

"I know, he had a heart attack, and is now in a coma. Your lucky you didn't have to witness it. It was traumatizing." Louis whispers.

"How about you guys take Alyssa home and then you three can go home as well." I tell them.

"No, we can wait with you," Alyssa says.

"I really need some sleep," Harry says wiping his eyes. "I haven't slept in over 24 hours."

"Yeah I do too," Louis and Zayn both say.

"You guys can go home, I'm staying with Liam." Alyssa says. I smile and blush.

"Okay thank you. We all really need the rest," Harry says. He comes up to me and gives me a hug. "Love you. We will come back in the morning."

"Okay, see you guys then." They walk down the hall and I watch them disappear around the corner.

"Jocelyn's? Or Niall's," I ask Alyssa. We end up going to Jocelyn's because she wanted me to wake her up soon and I couldn't see Niall in that condition.

When we reach her room I check the clock and realize it's 12am. I decide not to wake Jocelyn up and just sleep in her room.

I go over to the couch and sit down and go on twitter. I decide to tweet:

"@real_liam_payne: hope you're okay mate. Love you both. ♥️ #getwellsoon

I look up and see that Alyssa say next to me.

"Ready to get some sleep?" I ask her. She nods.

I move over to the chair.

"Can we sleep together? I really don't want to be alone tonight." She mumbles and looks at her feet.

I smile, "Of course." I take off my shoes and head back over to the couch. I lay down and open up my arms.

Alyssa climbs into my arms and cuddles into me. I pull her closer and kiss her cheek and whisper 'goodnight' into her ear, before falling asleep with her in my arms.
