DISCLAIMER: I OWN NOTHING
FAITH POV
I stand up from my crumpled position and run back into my room. My breathing was heavy. I let tears burst out of my eyes. Hot tears rolled down my cheeks. I can't believe it, I can't believe that my...Jace...my daddy....he...he tore me apart. I shouldn't have trusted him. I shouldn't have! And my mommy...she..I can't....I just met Jace...i can deal with him not wanting me...but my mom? My mother...the only person who has stood by me for years, the only person who really knew me...who I thought loved me. I run into my closet and yank off my clothes putting on clean clothes. I grabbed a backpack from my drawer and put all of the clothes I could. I take a deep breath and run into Jace's room. I know it's wrong to steal, but...he doesn't even want me anymore, plus he's rich enough not to notice a couple thousand dollars gone. I stuff it all in my backpack. I still had on my small pig tails, i had a chain necklace with a circle in the middle. It was a Lockett that Jace had given me . I grab the other Lockett that Had the mystery symbol on it. I then grab the blankets that had been tied together and drop it down. I climb down the balcony and drop to the floor. I sniff sadly at what was going on now. I can't believe that I'm running away from my mother....but this is better for her in the long run, she'll know that when she finds out I'm gone. I sneak out of the gates and start running towards town.JACE POV
It destroyed me to say all of those cruel things about my baby girl, and I knew it destroyed Clary even more. But my mother would not stop until we said that she was right, and I can't have Faith hearing from my mother that she was a mistake. My mother took a deep breath and sat back down. "Ok...just....just show her to me...let me meet her I guess," she says. Clary nods and walks up the stairs.
"She's wonderful mom....you're going to love her," I whisper. She rolls her eyes.
"I doubt it." She mumbled. I awkwardly waited for Clary to come back.
"JACE!" She yelled from upstairs. "JACE!" She yells again, her voice choked. I get up quickly and run upstairs. I open the door to see Clary in tears.
"Clary....oh baby, what happened?" I ask worried.
"She's gone Jace she's gone!" Clary yells. She gives me a piece of paper and sobs harder. I unfold it and read it.Jace and Clary,
I'm sorry...
I'm really sorry,
I'll let you be now....
I can let you take back your mistake,
I'm sorry, i didn't want to ruin your lives,
You won't have to ever hear from me again,
I'm sorry
-Faith
Tears leave my eyes as I stare at the paper in front of me. "She couldn't have gone far," I say as I wipe my tears. I run down the stairs, Clary following me. I ignore my mother, not wanting to deal with her right now. I grab my phone and call Luther. "Luther, I need you to have every single person look around the neighborhood now! Faith ran away and I want you to find her! Now!" I yell.
"Yes sir," Luther says as I hang up. I open the door and go outside.
"What's going on?" Clary asks, sniffling.
"I'm going to go find my daughter," I say as I put on my helmet. Clary puts on the other.
"I'm going with you," Clary says. I smile at her and turn the motorcycle on.
"Hang on," I mumble.FAITH POV
It's been about an hour since I got out of the house. Right now I'm under a bridge reading a book I managed to grab from my dad's nightstand....no, from Jace's nightstand. It was a tale of two cities. I opened the cover of the book and see a small note.My lovely Tessa, here's a book to remind you of me, even when I'm gone,
I love you Tessa,
Love,
William Herondale,~1936
I smile at the page. This must've been my great grandfathers book, I smile at the lovely book and flip the page and start reading tale of two cities.
JACE POV
I skid my bike to a stop, scaring Clary to death. I get off the bike, not noticing I almost made Clary fall with the bike. "Dammit!" I say as I take off my helmet and set it down. I sit down on the sidewalk and hold in the urge to cry. I take out my phone and dial Luther.
"Sir?"
"Luther! Have you herd anything?"
"No, sorry, She's gone completely off the grid...but...we did see what direction she went, she went to the right, she passed Mrs.Lockwood's house, that's all we know, she was just in the hall, listening to a conversation and then she left," I freeze up. She listened in? That's why she thinks..... fuck!
"I'll call you back Luther," I say as I take a deep breath and stare at Clary. I wipe the tear that had escaped my eye. "She listened in," I tell Clary.
"What?" Clary asks.
"To our conversation, with my mother! She listened in...and she.......DAMMIT! If my mother would just stop being so fucking self envolved! This NEVER WOULD'VE HAPPENED!" I yell.
"Hey! Calm down!" Clary yells as she walks up to me. "We're going to find her....we should probably go to Central Park, she might be there," Clary says. I nod, taking a deep breath.
"Yeah, Mrs. Lockwood is in the direction of Central Park." I say. We get back on the bike, ready to go towards Central Park.FAITH POV
I hear a motorcycle park, but don't think much of it. Until I see my parents get off the bike.
