The Wedding

"Well....I um....it's a long story..." I say shyly.
        "We have time....who's this?" My dad asks as he notices River. I sigh and start telling my parents the story. My dad probably won't take River in...not because he doesn't like him or doesn't care, but because he can't keep taking people in. He can't go back to Jax and Blade though.

I was on my bed sketching. My dad had called someone he trusted to take care of River while my dad decides what to do. The door suddenly opens making me jump. I look up and see my mom. She seemed emotionally tired. I could tell she probably had a fight with my dad. "The wedding isn't off, right?" I ask, suddenly scared. It had taken a year for my parents to get back together. It can't be over now!
"What? N-no, of course not," My mom says. I let out a breath of relief and slouch back down on the bed. I'm not 100% sure how things are going to work out. But I know they will work out well. Especially if I have my family together.

        I was put back in school a few weeks after Jax kidnapped me. They never found Jax nor Blade. What I know is that they probably skipped town. The woman that took in River is my Dad's......friend? I'm not exactly sure you could call her that. Her name is Delphine Martin, she's one of my dad's business rivals. She always wanted a son and a daughter, but she only had Angelina, after she had Angelina she had to get her uterus removed due to cancer. How I know that? Because I hear everything. Anyways, Delphine decided to adopt River. She lets him visit me whenever he wants. She says our friendship is too sweet to come in between. Meanwhile, I have been helping my mom pick out a wedding dress. Of course she made me the flower girl and the maid of honor because my mom still doesn't have too many friends (or any). "Mom....what about this one?" I ask as I find a really pretty dress. It was covered in beautiful white lace.

    "It's beautiful!" My mother said. I smiled at her and gave her the dress.
"It's also not too expensive..." I say with a smile. "Or...well...it's the cheapest one that we've seen so far," My mom smiled and went to the cash register to pay.

My hair was in a side ponytail, Rosemary had curled it. My parents had a few people as witnesses. There was river and Oliver and a few other close businesses partners.my parents were next to me on the altar. My mom was holding my dad's hands as she told him how much she loved him, and he did the same.

CLARY POV
"Do you, Clarissa Adele Fray, take Jace Herondale to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The priest asks me. I stare into Jace's warm golden eyes. I've never in my life seen him so vulnerable. He looked so breakable. It's understandable, if I just say one word I could break his heart.
"Yes..." I huff out. I was ready for this. I've been ready for this since the second I found out I was pregnant with Faith. Jace looked relieved, before the priest even finished asking him if he wanted to be married to me, Jace said yes and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around Jace. He kisses me deeply, until finally he pulls away.
"I love you.." He says. I smile at him as tears roll down my cheeks.
"I love you more,"
"Not possible," he laughs. I kiss him again. And now, I know that this is my Happily Ever After.

Ok, I know it's as corny as a Disney movie, but still, sometimes we need corny 🙃🙃🙃

As For the rest of this story...well... it's kinda over...

I mean, there will be a second book, but....I need my week off😏😉
