CLARY POV

Faith was asleep on the other side of the house, I was with Jace in the opposite side of the house from faith. Jace was pacing the room. "How could you do this Clary?" Jace asks. "Not only to me but to our daughter too?" He asks. He finally stops and looks at me. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME CLARISSA?" He yells. I finally stand up.

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU" I yell. He looks taken aback.

"Because you love me?" Jace asks. "Clary, you lied to me, you broke my heart....that doesn't make sense" He says.

"Do you think you would've been CEO of Herondale enterprises with a baby Jace?" I ask him. "NO YOU WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN" I yell. "YOUR DREAMS WOULD HAVE GONE DOWN THE DRAIN, JACE" I yell at him.

"Oh yeah well what about you?" Jace asks.

"Love means sacrifice Jace" I say.

"And our daughter...what about her? She probably doesn't go to school either does she?" He asks.

"I taught her everything she would've learned in school" I say.

"What happened Clary?" Jace asks. I sigh

"After you left for Harvard I told my mom, hoping she would help me, instead she kicked me out, I went to my friends house, and they called me a slut...." I tell him. "So I raised her on my own.....I'm still paying her bills though since nobody helped me." I say.

"Bills? did she get sick?" He asks me.

"No, thank god, I'm still paying her birth bills" I say.

"What? it's been seven years." He says.

"Yeah well it's hard trying to raise a child, have enough money for food and pay medical bills with only a middle school degree since they also kicked me out from high school Jace" I say angrily. "Because no one stood up for me" I say. Jace sighs.

"What's her name?" Jace asks.

"her name is Faith, Faith Evangeline Victoria Herondale" I say.

"Herondale?" Jace asks.

"I wanted her to have at least something that was yours....other than some of your body parts" I say.

"Why Faith?"

"Because that's what I needed Jace, I needed Faith, and I had her" I explain. "Listen,this is my fault, the second the whole paparazzi thing blow over...Faith and i will leave" I tell him. He stands in front of me, his arms crossed.

"No, you're not leaving....i already lost seven years of my daughters life....i'm not wasting anymore...."Jace says.

"W-w-what are you saying?" I ask him.

"I'm saying Faith stays with me" Jace says.

"No, no, No Jace please.....you can't take her away from me.....you can't" I plead to him crying.

"I am her father! She has my last name Clary!" He says.  I collapse onto the couch. I look up at him, shaking my head.

       "You Can't Do this to me Jace, she's the only thing I have left. I don't have friends....Or family...I'm alone Jace, she's the only thing I have...the only thing I care about....The only thing I even live for, she's my whole life, you can't take her away" I say. I grip his arm trying to make him look at me. "Please Jace, I know you can destroy me with a lawyer....but please..." tears roll down my cheeks. "Please don't take her away from me,"
