Sunday, May 6th
Jimin busted through Miss Luna's door, scaring her enough to drop the red pen that was in her hands. It was late, probably around 11 pm. And watching a disheveled Jimin run into her office is the very last thing she expected to see that night.
However, it's not something entirely new for her.
So she sprung quickly to her feet to the small panicking boy.
The breath leaving his lips was incredibly short and the tears running down his cheeks could be enough to fill a small cup. His face was beat red and his hair was wet from sweat. The way his hands were shaking looked like he was experiencing his own earthquake.
It was bad, one of the worst she's ever seen.
"Hey, hey it's okay Jimin. It's okay," she said and pulled the boy into a hug.
These types of hugs aren't normal hugs. Miss Luna has to hold him by his wrists, arms wrapped around his sides, to keep him from hitting himself or her. She stands beside him and waits till he's calm enough for her to let go. Sometimes it takes five minutes, maybe even ten.
This time it ended up being about 25 minutes.
"See Jimin, it's okay. Breathe in and out with me."
His hands were clasped together tightly, turning his fingers red and knuckles white. His chest was still heaving slightly, ribs feeling tight under his skin. More than the usual.
It took another ten minutes until Miss Luna felt confident enough to let go of his wrists and hug him properly. Jimin broke out in loud wailing cries as he wrapped his arms around her. His face and neck leaving wet marks on Miss Luna's shirt.
She knew that this was not a normal Jimin fit, something must have happened to break the boy this bad.
Jimin is mute, he doesn't make noise when he cries either. And this stood out to her like nothing she's ever experienced. Jimin was making noise, sobbing so loudly on her chest.
Even she feels nervous, and the thought of Friday's conversation ran through her mind and she can't help but assume.
"I told you Jimin, he's not worth this hurt," She said softly and brushed his hair off his forehead.
But suddenly he was scrambling, pushing her away and falling onto his butt in the process. He looked at her with fire in his teary eyes.
"Hey, calm down okay? I'm not here to hurt you."
'Wrong' Jimin signed with shaky hands to her.
"Park Jimin. You know I'm the last person of your problems right now."
'Wrong' He signed again.
"What? What's the problem here. You need to talk to me." She sighed.
And that made Jimin start crying again.
Talk. That's what he had to do.
Miss Luna squatted down in front of him, watching him lean his back on the side of the desk and bringing his knees to his chest.
'What's wrong Jimin-ah?' She signed to him.
He sat there for a moment, looking at her hands and her sorrowful expression. It was time to tell her what was really happening.
'Yoongi asked me to speak.'
And the silence in the room became twice as loud.
"Oh," Miss Luna spoke softly as she too fell onto her bottom. She ran her fingers through her hair multiple times, pushing up her glasses every so often.
She knew that someone would want Jimin to open up, eventually. Just didn't expect it to be so soon.
'What will you do?' She asked and watched him shrug.
She sighed again. Jimin is her favorite kid on this whole floor. The things he's been through and how long he's carried on make him such a stand out. And his personality is so soft and warm, even though things have hurt him he still remains kind.
'Want me to talk to him?' She asked and raised her brow.
'No.'
'What do you want?'
'I want to do it.'
Miss Luna hung her head low, taking her red glasses off and placing them on the floor. She knows that this not going to be a walk in the park. Nothing with Jimin is easy.
'When?' She asked and looked up at him.
'Now.' His hands shook as he told her.
A groan left her lips as she laid back on the carpet of her office. She looked up at the ceiling tiles and ran her hands over her face slowly. This is really turning out to get worse and worse.
"Okay. Let's start tomorrow. You need to rest."
Jimin didn't move, his legs still tucked into his chest. His grip on his sweatpants was tight as he looked at her.
"After your shot, we'll talk about it. You're weak right now and I can't have you collapsing again. Sound good?" She asked as she sat up and looked at him.
He nodded and slowly let go of his pants. She put her glasses back on and stood up, holding out her hand to help him up.
Jimin grabbed her hand and she pulled him to stand, she hugged him one last time before she ruffled his hair and let him go.
"Don't pressure yourself please. Make sure this is what you want okay?" She asked softly.
The boy just nodded before he walked out of the office.
And once the door closed she sat on her desk, ripping her glasses off and throwing them against a wall.
Jimin doesn't deserve anything like this. He's already dealing with so many things and she knows that he shouldn't have to do anything. Especially not from some boy.
So she spent the rest of the night trying her hardest to figure out this boys information without just making a contact file for bothering one of her kids. It'd look really bad to his mother who she'd have to call, but at this point, she doesn't care.
She made a reminder in her phone to call Yoongi's mother the next week to give her the harsh lie that needs to be made.
