This chappie sucks because I wrote this when my little cousins were at home. They don't know how to keep quiet.

Dedicated to Roxana Hetty for the votes and the sweet message on the message board that made me smile! :D Thank you, friend :)

Thirty Three | The Consequences of Imperfection

H a r i s:

"One more! One more!" Everyone chanted and I downed another shot of beer. I didn't know how much of it I had had. I was only aware of the giddy feeling inside me. It was exhilirating and the taste of beer - though awful at first, had definitely grown on me.

Olivia patted me on my back and dropped a kiss on my cheek, smiling as if I was the only guy in the world. I gave her a brilliant smile, myself and put an arm around her.

"Let's dance," I whispered, my lips grazing her ear.

I smirked in satisfaction when she shivered and nodded, dazed by our close proximity. I led her to the dance floow where the bodies slammed in to each other as each danced crazily - an effect of the beer.

I wasn't a dancer, by any means. I didn't even listen to many songs but the alchohol guided me and somehow, I managed to move my body in sync with the music and Olivia.

She was perfection. The way she looked, the way she smiled; her lips turning upwards innocently, the way she danced as if it was the last night of her life...everything

I grinned when she came even closer but resisted the urge to move her further towards me. I needed to hold on to the little self control I had.

"I really, really, like you, Haris," She slurred.

"I do too but I am not really sure. We are drunk," I said back, my voice muffled.

She let out a gleeful laugh, "It doesn't matter anymoreee. You confessed!"

I placed an arm on the small of her back and swung her around, as the beat of the music started to get faster. "Of course, I did," I said, my voice breathless. "Anyone would."

She giggled - something I'd never seen her do in the days I had known her - and danced her way to me, singing along with the song. She looked mad and I probably did too but I felt happy, for the first time in my life.

I didn't know who I was or how I'd ended up here and that was all it took to leave me satisfied. An escape route.

The light was blinding me and the headache was close to murdering me. I tried to plunge in to darkness and bliss once again, but I knew I had failed when the pounding in my head refused to disappear.

Gathering the courage, I got up and almost fell down off the bed. I didn't know what was happening. I didn't even remember last night or where I was.

Now I came to think of it; it was scary. What had happened last night? And why did I reek of beer? Did someone puke at me? Or spill their drink, even?

I moved a little, the heat getting to me and almost rolled over a body. Gasping in surprise, I looked next to me to see Olivia sleeping on the bed.

My heart rate picked up and I almost fainted at her sight. What had happened last night?

"You drank yesterday," Some one said wryly and I whipped around to see Fred, standing up from his bed, smoothing out the wrinkles on his red shirt. He didn't look drunk - in fact, he seemed to be perfectly fine - just a little sleep deprived.
