-Continued Flashback-
Cory's POV
Once Josh walked away me and Patty started talking about our summer and what we did. She went to the beach with her family, apparently Josh and Patty have known each other since they were kids. Josh's dad owns Electric Bill, an electric company down the road and Patty's dad has worked there for 15 years.
She seems like a pretty cool girl, she has a little brother and sister. They're twins and are 8. Her parents are divorced and her father has full custody, but she still goes to her mom's house.
The bell rang so we talked till we got to my class where we said our goodbyes. I sat down in a seat next to the window, I've never liked sitting in the front. It's too close to the teacher and people always look at you first when they walk in class.
I was looking out the window when I heard the seat next to me scrape across the floor and heard someone sit down. I looked over and my heart stopped. I was in a trance by the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I saw who it was and my breath caught in my throat.
Chad Dillon. Sports star, most popular kid in my grade. And he was staring at me! I quickly looked away back out the window blushing. I can't believe I was just staring at Chad Dillon!
I closes my eyes and put my head on the table just wanting the day to end already. The bell rang and everyone else piled in and the teacher started class.

After class I walked to History. I walked in and saw Josh I smiled and he looked at me then looked away.
What? Why'd he look away? I wondered as I walked up to him. He was talking with someone but I couldn't see their face all I saw was blonde hair.
"Hey Josh" I awkwardly said. They both looked at me and it was Chad..great.
Josh gave me a confused look "uh do I know you?"
I looked at him like he'd lost his mind. "It's me...Cory. My sister introduced us this morning."
"Nope, sorry doesn't ring a bell."
I felt hurt but didn't show it, I walked to a seat in the corner and looked out the window. Why did he play it off as he didn't know me?
Did I already do something to make him hate me?
I wondered about why he blew me off all day, once I got home I plopped on the couch and sighed and picked up my favorite book 'Eat or Be Eaten' by Thomas Jock (A/N made up name). I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to a loud bang and a terrified scream. I jolted up, my heart beating rapidly in my chest.
"Miranda."
