Cory's POV

I was nervous to go to Chad's house tonight. Why would he want to hang out with me more than he has to at school? He's a strong, popular jock and I'm a feeble nobody. It didn't make sense!

After school I went home and couldn't stop thinking about tonight. Maybe I should cancel. He'd like that wouldn't he? That way he doesn't wreck his reputation. I picked up my phone to call and cancel, when I smacked my forehead.

I don't have his number.

I growled in frustration and sighed, I laid back on my bed and stared up at my ceiling. He did ask me himself to hang out, but why? Did he pity me because I had no friends? Did he think I was too weak to do anything on my own? Did he want to be my friend because he genuinely does like me?

So many questions were swarming in my head that I wanted to be answered. It was 5:00p.m. when I finally decided to get ready. I took a shower and dressed in a band tee, my favorite band Sleeping With Sirens, and dark blue skinny jeans. I took a look at myself in the mirror and blow dried and straightened my hair. Once I was done I sprayed my cologne and put on my black and white converse. I grabbed my keys and phone and walked downstairs.

"I'm going out!" I called and hoped my mom didn't stop me.

"Wait! Where are you going?" My mom asked as she came into view.

Dammit.

"Uhh, a friend's house," I muttered and she grinned widely.

"What friend?" She questioned.

"Chad Dillon." I stated and if possible, her smile grew.

"Oh I love that boy! His mother, Maria, is in my pottery class, you know. What a lovely woman. Chad has given us so much clay from the store when Maria had forgotten it was her turn to bring it." She chuckles at this and waved her hands at me and practically pushed me out the door.

"Go! Go! Have fun! Be home whatever time, I don't mind." I looked at her like she was crazy.

"You're not giving me a curfew?"

She shook her head, "Nope! This is you're first time going to 'hang out'  I'm so happy!"

I opened my mouth to speak, but she slammed the door in my face. I shook my head and walked to my car. Crazy woman.

I got in my car and drove off to Chad's house. I've seen him going to school in the mornings from his house, so I knew where he lived.

What should've taken 5 minutes to get to his house, took 15 and a bunch of unhappy people being disturbed. Okay, I didn't fully remember where he lived, but I hoped this was it when I drove in a driveway looking at a two story, brown, brick house. 2 shrubs were next to the walk way leading up to the brown door. A brass button was next to the door. I pushed it and heard the faint 'ding dong' of the doorbell and the front door opened a few moments later. Chad was standing there in a red tight t-shirt that hugged his arm muscles and black loose jeans. I looked up at him after basically checking him out to see him grinning at me.

"Hey," he said coolly.

"Hey." I said back, unsure if that was the right thing to say. He stepped to the side to let me in.

"Come on in." I stepped through and looked around.

It was a nice house. There was a short hallway from the door to I'm guessing the living room. Pictures were spread out on the walls in the hallway and a red and brown rug that led to the end of the hallway. We walked to the living room and it was beautiful. A black leather couch was in the middle with two dark brown tables next to each side with a lamp in the corner. A black leather love seat was against the far wall next to a shrub. More pictures were scattered along the wall above the love seat and a few were on the tables. The fire place was in front of the couch and a vase of flowers was on the brick bar above the fireplace. Cream colored walls really complimented the whole house and it seemed like a homey feeling house.
