Cory's POV
Why can't Chad just leave me the hell alone? I know we have to do this project, but I never agreed to have a full on conversation with him. He is cute though...and the way he tries to get me to talk to him makes me amused to witness his cute face look like a lost puppy.
No! Cory stop! Even though you've liked him since 5th grade doesn't mean you can let yourself fall deeper.
But I guess I have been a little harsh...should I talk to him? Yeah, it's stupid of me to ignore him and it's just plain childish. We were in Mr. Tang's class once again. It was a Friday, whoo! Weekend here I come!
But first,
"Hey Chad?" I finally looked at him for the first time in class. He looked completely shocked I made the first move to have a conversation. He stared at me for a few moments, still shocked I assume.
I waved my hand in front of his face, "Uh, Chad? You okay?"
I giggled a bit when he blinked and blushed dark red.
"Um, yeah..sorry...what's up?" He tried to play it off cool.
I rolled my eyes and looked at him sincerely,
"I'm sorry about ignoring you for the last week." I apologized and bit my lip blushing from embarrassment. Wow I'm so immature for ignoring him for a whole week.
He was staring at my lips, but quickly looked into my eyes when I caught him staring. He smiled and shrugged a bit,
"It's okay, I understand." I nodded and looked at my notebook.
"Uh, we should get started on this project then." Why was it so easy to talk to him without stuttering?!
"Yeah, so I was thinking for some ideas, we could do maybe dragons or greek gods?"
I nodded,"I do love dragons."
He smiled, "Dragons it is!" We both laughed and talked more about our project until class ended.
I started packing up my things. Chad glanced at me, he looked like he was struggling to say something.
"You okay Chad?" I looked at him with an eyebrow raised in concern.
"Uh, yeah...do.." he swallowed, "do you want to come over tonight?" I looked at him a little shocked.
He widened his eyes, "Not like a date or anything!" He blushed, "Maybe we could just work on our project was what I meant." He blushed a crimson red at his bad way of asking me to hang out.
Do I want to hang out with Chad Dillon?
I stared at his face, he was staring back at me with a hopeful, adorable I might add, look. I smiled a bit,
"Sure, I'll be over around 6:00 tonight. That okay?"
He grinned and nodded quickly like an eager puppy. "Sounds great! I'll see you then." He was still grinning when he walked out.
I chuckled to myself and followed his direction.
I was going to hang out with Chad Dillon. Chad Dillon asked me to hang out. I don't know why, but butferflies erupted quickly in my stomach as I thought about tonight. I shook my head.
We're just hanging out. He didn't ask me out on a date, he's probably straight anyway. Right? No he couldn't be gay and asked me on a date I'm being silly. It's just hanging out.
Nothing more
Nothing less.
But, I still get to hang out with him and for some reason I was excited and couldn't keep the grin off my face if someone tried to rip it off with wax.
