Although I was always exhausted, sick, and overall miserable, we kept searching for houses. Aaron suggested holding off on finding homes until I was treated, but I convinced him I would be fine.

I made the process much harder for myself, and I had to lie to Aaron quite a bit. I always had to tell him I was fine, even though I really wasn't. It made the home buying process less stressful for him, so I was willing to suffer.

We spent a couple of weeks discussing what we would want in a home, a couple more finding a home, and another month to actually own the home. Now, we own our first home together. We were lucky enough to get one of the new ones down the street, and they were selling quick.

As we discussed what we needed, we both wanted to remain close to friends. I think we got as close as we could. We found a perfect home with two bedrooms, a master and guest, two bathrooms, a nice kitchen ect. It's too perfect.

Aaron and I have already taken care of everything, and both of our old houses are empty, except for mine of course. The house was move-in ready, so we didn't have to move in new furniture.

Today is the day. After all of that effort, we'll finally sleep in the house tonight. Aaron is already there, and I still have to say good-bye to the girls.

After taking a final look around my empty room, I close the door one last time.

"Well, looks like it's time for me to go," I state, reaching the bottom of the stairs to the living room.

"You're sure you didn't forget anything?" Katelyn asks.

"Even if I did, I'll just be down the street," I reply.

"We'll miss you," Kawaii~Chan adds. Over the past couple of months, KC has grown into speaking normally, and I've gotten used to it.

"I'll miss you guys, too," I say. I pull them both in for a hug. "Don't be strangers. You promise?"

"We promise. Try not to get too caught up with Aaron, you'll forget about us," Katelyn says. We all pull away from the hug.

"I would never," I reply with a smile.

"Mhm," Kawaii~Chan says with a raised eyebrow. Katelyn and I chuckle.

"Well, the Christmas party is at my new house so I'll see you guys in a couple of days," I remind them.

"Oh yeah! I almost forgot. That means you have an anniversary coming up in a few days, don't you?" Katelyn replies. I blush and smile.

"Yeah, I do."

"It's your one year anniversary, right? I can't believe he's been able to deal with you for that long," Kawaii~Chan adds. Katelyn's jaw drops as she waits for a reaction from me.

"Honestly, I can't believe it either," I reply with a chuckle. They both laugh.

"Well, you should probably go. Go get your mans," Katelyn says. I smile, opening the front door, exposing myself to the cold.

"I love you girls."

"Love you too." They reply in unison.

I finally step out, closing the door behind me. Looking out at the driveway, I realize that I have made a grave mistake.

My car is already at the house, so now my only option is to walk to the house in the snow. Rather heavy snow, might I add. I already get cold easily, let alone walking in the snow for a couple of minutes.

Starting the walk, I regret my life choices immediately. The snow is covering most of the sidewalk, although some people have made attempts at salting the walkways. I quicken my pace, wanting to arrive as fast as possible.
