For Toya, it was another average day. It was cool with the sun high in the sky, and cold weather was approaching fast.
Although Toya didn't even attend school today she still held his math book in his hands trying to figure out how to do these problems. As he strolled down the street a cigarette hung loosely in between his lips.
He wasn't sure where he was or how long he had been waking when he felt a tap in his shoulder. His instincts kicked in and Toya whipped around ready to kick anyone's ass. However, Amaryllis stood behind him with a cocky smile on her face. Toya eyed her up and down, she wore a rather, different outfit.
"That's an interesting attire," he said, scanning her once again. It looked to be a one piece skin tight suit that was mostly black, there was splashy of light blue scattered around in different patterns. Pure white bandages covered her fore arms and calfs There was a sort of white and blue cloak that draped over her shoulders falling halfway down her chest.
"Oh this," there was a mocking tone in her voice, Amaryllis gazed down at herself and opened up her arms as if she was showing Toya even more. "Do you like it?" Her red eyes pierced through Toya.
"Sure," he mumbled, Toya couldn't help but feel warm seeing her dressed like that. It was completely different from her baggy and warm clothes she normally wore. "It's designed to allow armor to fit over it," Amaryllis added under her breath.
She strolled around Toya and looked to be scanning the area. "I assume you are skipping?"
"And what is it that you are doing?" Toya's words had a challenging yet playful tone.
"My internship." Amaryllis turned back to Toya and scanned him up and down with her red eyes. There was a look reflecting in them that Toya couldn't figure out what it meant. She turned away and began to scan the area again.
"What is it that you are doing?" Toya asked.
"Investigating?" She sounded unsure. "There has recently been a villain that has been targeting young heroes and there was some report on something around here..." she trailed off, mumbling to herself, gazing around once more.
The way Amaryllis has said villain bothered Toya a bit. She almost said it with uncertainty, but as well with a disgusted tone. It was strange, it was as if she had another thought going through her mind as she spoke.
Amaryllis shifted her attention back to Toya. "Also," she said, "your father is nearby so..." she made a slight gesture to her lips. It took Toya a second to realize what she meant. As he removed the cigarette from his mouth he wondered if it bothered Amaryllis, this bad habit of his. He tossed it to the ground and crushed it under his foot. Toya found himself admiring Amaryllis figure one again. She seemed to notice too, for Amaryllis seemed to shift around to give Toya a better angle.
"Anyway," Amaryllis said, "I guess I'll leave you to," she glanced down at the book Toya had been carrying. "Algebra." There was, yet again, another mocking tone in her voice. She flashed him a smile before she turned to leave.
"Are you free tomorrow?" Toya asked, his mouth had moved before he even realized it. Amaryllis froze in her tracks and gazed over her shoulder at him.
"Depends, what do you have in mind?"
"Grab something to eat?" He sounded very unsure, "and, talk?" He was really just making this up as he went. There was another look shining in Amaryllis's eyes. She turned to face him. "Like a date?" Toya felt his body tighten up. There was along a lustful look in her eyes.
"Yeah," Toya said. They stood there for a solid minute just gazing into each other's eyes.
Amaryllis's expression suddenly changed to a worried look as she fiddled around her suit. She pulled out a phone from somewhere and gazed at it for a few seconds. "Shit," she mumbled, stuffing her phone away. "I-I have to go," she stuttered, turning to leave. As she ran off she twisted around, "I'll see you tomorrow! I'll text you a time!" There was a cheerful tone in her voice that made Toya's heart skip a beat. He couldn't help but look forward to tomorrow.

Whatever this lead was, Amaryllis couldn't find any trace of a villain anywhere. She had looked just about everywhere she could, and nothing. At this point, Amaryllis was afraid she had missed something. Like some small detail that could give them any sort of lead and that might have gotten her some praise. Maybe stopping and talking with Toya had caused her to miss something? She just hoped not, she always enjoyed her conversations with him. What she found rather funny is how their conversations have evolved to borderline filtering, or at least that's how Amaryllis saw it, and what she was kind of aiming for.
Amaryllis was now crouched down on the floor of an alley as she gazed around for any sort of lead. At this point her searching felt helpless.
With the sudden warmth washing over her, Amaryllis popped up and spun around. "Silver," the gritty voice greeted her, referring to her under her hero name. Silver Knight is what she had come up with. Amaryllis considered it nice and simple for her, and over the years it has grown on her.
The voice had belonged to none other than Endeavor himself. His flames lit up the alley as he waltzed in, another one of his sidekicks followed behind. Amaryllis studied his face for a few seconds before he noticed, its gotten to the point where the resemblance between him and Toya slightly bothered her.
"Have you found anything yet?" His tone was hostile, as it always was, Amaryllis wondered if he knew any other tone.
"No sir," she replied, she casted her eyes downward, she didn't enjoy looking into his cold blue eyes. There was a low hum that followed her words, and Amaryllis could hear him coming closer.
Out of the corner of her eye, Amaryllis could see Endeavor towering over her, she could even feel the heat coming from his flames. There was a long pause, or at least it felt terribly long for Amaryllis. At times like theses, she wondered what was going through his brain? What does a person like Endeavor think about in general?
"I have one last thing I would like you to do," Endeavor placed his hand firmly on Amaryllis's shoulder, she cursed herself as she flinched at the sudden warmth. "Magno," he was referring to the other man that had accompanied him, he was only slightly older than Amaryllis, and he was normally favored by Endeavor over her. "He discovered some interesting information and I would like you to go with him to investigate."
"Yes sir," Amaryllis replied. She felt him push her forward towards Magno. "And Silver," he added, his tone still dark and gritty. "Don't fail this time."
