It was fairly unusual for Peter Parker to be running down the hallways and out of the school earlier than usual. It seemed odd that a certain poster sitting in his car was the cause of his mayhem.
A sweet grin tugged at his lips as he ran down the steps, heading towards the school's parking lot.
Considering that this was his junior year, he was entirely excited to try another go at homecoming—and potentially become successful at earning a night free of battling his girlfriend's father.
However, there wasn't an ounce of him that believed a night like that would occur again, considering he had met your family thousands of times. Peter had adored you since you first met in sixth grade, and he fell in love in ninth.
As he ran down the vacant sidewalks, he desperately hoped that no one would see him sneaking out of school to grab his poster. However, he had lunch this hour, which was a benefit on his side.
His grin grew twice his size when he saw you leaning up against your own car, which happened to be parked exactly next to his. Peter nervously jogged up to you, his confidence disappearing almost immediately.
❝H-hey y/n. What're you, uh, doing here?❞ he questioned.
He watched as you opened up the trunk of your car, revealing a poster that wasn't his. Well, of course it wasn't his. Peter looked up, meeting your eyes as they sparkles with hope.
Your eyebrows furrowed as soon as you saw him walk only a few inches away, shuffling in his car before pulling out his own poster.
A laugh slipped out of your lips, noticing how absolutely cheesy this entire fiasco seemed. Peter strode over to you again, setting his poster by yours and wrapping his arms around you.
❝I'd love to go to homecoming with you.❞ the two of you spoke simultaneously. Peter simply pressed a kiss to your cheek before pulling you even father into his arms.
