Chapter 8

*Will's POV*

Percy came up with the brilliant idea to have Nico shadow travel to get some food to burn. 

"No," I said almost immediately. 

"You're not in charge of me, Solace!" Nico said. Everyone sort of grabbed their things and left. 

"Doctor's orders," I added.

"You're no fun," Nico pouted. 

"I am too. You just don't have enough energy to shadow travel three times a day. You need to save your energy." 

"Oh, and why is that? Huh, Sunshine?" I was about to make a sarcastic comment when the others burst back in. Percy, Piper, and Leo weren't with them. 

"It's Sunday suckers!" Thalia yelled. Then her, Clarisse, Reyna,  Hazel, and Frank left to go do gods know what. Jason and Annabeth stuck around. We all talked a little while, maybe ten minutes, when Percy, Leo, and Piper ran in. 

"We found a secret passage to Hogsmeade!" Percy yelled. "We just followed Harry and he led us right to it." 

"So you were spying?" Jason asked. 

"Well, kinds. But Hogsmeade is so cool. There's a sweet shop, a joke shop, and too many other things to name! I can't wait until were actually allowed to visit it," Piper said. 

"You weren't supposed to be there?" I asked. I had to join the conversation. 

"Well, not technically, but we didn't do anything wrong," Percy said. 

"Sure you didn't," Nico added. 

"We blew up a building!" Leo yelled. 

"You what?!" Annabeth screamed at the same time as Percy and Piper groaned, "Leo!" 

"You weren't supposed to tell anyone!" Piper said. 

"Okay, why don't we all stay where I can keep an eye on you, huh?" Annabeth asked. 

"Fine," they mumbled. 

"Hey, I've got an idea! Let's bake some of my mom's blue cookies!" Percy said. 

"No Per-" Annabeth began. Jason cut her off. 

"Great idea," he said. Then the kid somehow summoned an entire oven. 

Once the dough was rolled out Percy began to take the cookies to the oven. Then he stopped. 

"I could do 400 degrees for 10 minutes... or 4,000 degrees for 1 minute," he said.

"Percy no," Annabeth told him. 

"Floor it!" Percy yelled. 

"No!" Jason yelled. 

"Fine. How about 4,000,000 degrees for 1 second?" he asked. 

"You're going to burn the school down," Nico said. 

"I can use my water powers to put out any fires," he said. 

"I'll help him!" Leo said. 

"Percy. Just do 400 degrees. Please," Annabeth said sharply. 

"I'M GOING TO HARNESS THE POWER OF THE SUN TO MAKE COOKIES!" Percy yelled. 

"I can help. As long as nobody gets burned," I said. I figured I would be able to get the power of the sun, what with my dad being the sun and all. 

"Don't egg him on," Annabeth snapped. 

"No. Percy, don't even do it!" Jason yelled. 

"Do it!" Piper said. 

"I'm doin' it!" Percy said. He slid the cookies into the oven at 4,000,000 degrees. Nico turned it down as they went in. 

"Nico!" Percy wined. 

"All of you, stop egging him on. Don't you all know he's a Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth asked. 

"But I'm your Seaweed Brain," Percy said. Annabeth rolled her eyes and Percy kissed her. 

20 minutes later we were all enjoying some cookies when the others came back in. Thalia, Frank, and Hazel looked like drowned rats.

"Reyna and Clarisse pushed me and Hazel in the lake," Thalia said. The two in question burst into laughter. 

"It wasn't funny! We could have drowned. You can't take a demigod of the Big 3 out of their elements and put them into another one. Luckily Frank was there and he saved us," Hazel said. 

"Are those blue cookies?" Frank asked. He stared at the table in wonder. 

"Yum," Clarisse said. 

"Why are they blue?" Reyna asked. 

"Percy made them," I said. 

"Why are they blue?" Reyna repeated. 

"Well, a couple reasons," Percy said. "One, my mom had an argument with her ex husband about blue food being real and she's always made blue food since. Two, if food can be blue, anything is possible, and three, POSEIDON!" We all rolled our eyes. Nico grabbed my hand under the table. 

"Why not black?" he asked. 

"Red," Clarisse said. 

"Yellow," I added. 

"Purple," Reyna said.

"Guys, I hate to break up the fun, but It's almost lunch time," Annabeth told us. 

"Maybe we should each grab a cookie and burn the rest before lunch," Jason suggested. It was a great idea. We each grabbed two and tossed one into the jar of Greek Fire before continuing on to lunch.
