It turns out AJ's family came over for Michael and Caitlin big announcement of their upcoming wedding. Stacy and Annabelle are going to be flower girls, AJ ( we just made up some lame excuse as to why he was here. I can't believe they actually bought it.) and Tristan are going to be  the men of honour and me? Oh check this out, I'm was to be a bridesmaid. A freaking bridesmaid! This meant I had to dress the same as two other people. Chelsey, Caitlin's older sister (the maid of honour). And Trisha, her cousin.

Trisha and I are actually around the same age. I think she's one year younger or the same age as me? I keep forgetting. “Um sorry, what time are they arriving?" I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear Caitlin talking. “In ten minutes, then we are going to eat and after that we are going shop-" said Stacy and Ann in unison but got interrupted by the doorbell ringing. “I guess we are going to eat now." my mother corrected.

I went to open the door and greeted Chelsey with a warm hug and attempted to hug Trisha but she pushed me aside as her gaze landed on AJ and started to walk towards him. Was she checking him out? Of course she was you idiotic girl. Nah, AJ is my boy, well my boy crush. If only she knew how close he was to kissing me just a few minutes before. If it weren't for my asshole brother he would have kissed me, willingly. Take that Trisha.

*****

Oh god I could hear her talking to him about how she's so excited for the wedding. It's sickening. She hasn't even said a word to me since she arrived and they came just over an hour ago! The food was taking really long to cook, it would probably go faster if Trisha helped out like she's supposed to. You're supposed to help as well. I know that, but I couldn't let Trisha out of my sight. She's too unpredictable with her reckless, stubborn and arrogant ways. I would say that I hate her almost as much as I hate Tristan. Almost.

They weren't even talking about relevant things! I sat on the couch playing with my phone and trying to ignore Trisha. I could only hear her giggling at everything AJ says. He wasn't even that funny! Well sometimes he wasn't, like this time for example. She was currently sitting way to close to AJ, if you ask me, and playing around with his arm. “Hey Alex? What do think?" I'm too busy on my phone to even comprehend what he was saying. I look up from my phone and I can't look away from where AJ's hand was on Trisha's thigh.

“Sorry, what was that?"

“Tris over here," he already gave her a nickname? “is planning on moving to our school, she'll be in the same year as you. How cool is that?" Did I hear him right? Trisha is moving to my school. This day just keeps getting better doesn't it? Please not the sarcasm. “Kids the food is ready!" My mom called to us.

Yes, of course she would sit next to him. Gosh this is so annoying! Are you jealous? Me? Jealous? I let out a very sarcastic laugh and answered out loud admitting yes in defeat. Alex-0 Trisha-1.This caused me to get very odd looks from everyone at the table. My bad.

“Um sorry for that."

“That's alright honey, but you've hardly eaten and we're about to leave." My mom replied. I hardly heard a word she was saying as I was staring at Tris and AJ. It's like this morning never happened and those two were meant to be. I am really, really jealous now. I mean I've liked him for a very long time now. Trisha is seeing him for the first time and she already has her hands all over him. This just makes me more annoyed than I already am.

“Okay here's the plan. I, Abigail and Marge will go look for my dress while Stacy and Ann will go with Chelsea, Trisha and Alex to go look for theirs. Then we will meet back here just in time for lunch." Caitlin informed us.

“Its Tris now." Oh that little bitc- I mean brat said quickly before anyone could move. I seriously just want to rip out all her hair right now! Her name is Trisha and not anything else but that!

“Oh...kay Tris." With that Caitlin, my mom(Abigail) and AJ's mother (Marge) went of in the other direction. Now I was glaring at Tris, who does she think she is?

“Why are you looking at her like that way Alex? It's just Tris." Annabelle asked.

“Uh nothing, I wasn't looking at her...I was just admiring that dress in the window. Shall we check it out?" I quickly retorted.

Ann noticed the dress on display behind her and immediately grabbed my arm running towards it making her crimson red hair bounce.  “Oh my, Alex. It is beautiful. I hope Cat likes it." Chelsea admired.

The dress was red with a retro 50s style pinup full sing skirt. It's more of a  party dress than for a bridesmaid. I agree with Chelsea that it is beautiful but it just isn't me. I prefer the simple stuff like a sundress or something. Not to much and not to little, you know. Besides, I'd rather wear jeans and a T-shirt than look exactly the same as her. Referring to Trisha of course. Argh, the thought of that makes my blood boil.

“You two go try this one on," Chelsea said, “while I check for smaller versions for these rascals." She took both Stacy and Ann by the hand and the disappeared with on of the attendants.

On our way out of the changing rooms, with the dresses on,Trisha stopped me, “Hey you," gosh, this girl better let go of me if she knows what's good for her, “just wanted to tell you, that Adam boy is mine."

“Excuse me?"

“You heard me. Mine. So you can just forget about your chances with him because it's hopeless." I hate to admit but she's right. She let me go.

Her and AJ are more alike than ever. They both have blue eyes and dark hair except Trisha dyed hers black awhile ago and now it's beginning to go a nasty brown colour. But nevertheless she still looks amazing in the dress. Hell, she looks amazing in anything.

“I don't think this is the dress for you." Chelsea told me while I was looking my self over in the mirror. First of all this dress didn't fit me at all, it hung loosely on my shoulders. Secondly, the bottom half makes me look small and shorter than I already am. I hate looking short so I agree with her. “Try this." Chelsea handed me another dress.

I tried it on, feeling very insecure knowing that it's very short and sleeveless. Nudophobia washed over me as i saw the back of the dress. The fear of being naked.

It is a light red-peach dress with a classic keyhole in the back with a sweetheart neckline and lace that fills the space from the top of the dress to the part that goes around my neck in the form of a collar. It has a tight waist band that is white and the rest of the dress under it is flared out like a tutu. I got the dress and this caused Trisha to whine about her own dress. I guess she was just jealous. Ha! Alex-1 Trisha-1.

All she got out of whining was her dress shortened and tightened. When she put it on she looked like a tramp. I swear she couldn't even bend over without it ripping in half. This girl will go to the extremes for that Adam boy.

Finally after that long day of dress searching we all settled for a late lunch at a pizza parlor.
