It's 2:52am on Wednesday the 5th of October.

I am standing with my hands against the wall, supporting me, and a puddle of water underneath me. Luckily for me I'm already at the hospital, but not for what you think. Well, actually yes, I'm her because my water just broke and because Rose is about to have her baby too.

So let me explain. It has been about two hours since I got the call that Rose had her first contraction which means she had just gone into labour. Apparently it has been like this since yesterday at 10pm.

AJ was the one to call and inform me about Rose. He asked if I could tell Roo but I immediately said no. Ryder was starting to annoy me, really. He hadn't talked to me since that time he called after the art gallery. Which was over three months ago. I tried texting him but he would read the message and not reply. I stopped trying after a few weeks.

I thought it was just bad connection but then I really thought about it and it didn't sound too believable. If it were just bad connection then he wouldn't be able to see any incoming messages at all but for some reason he saw mine and decided not to reply.

In all honesty I do miss him , a lot and he is supposed to be back now but for some reason he isn't. That's exactly what I thought and that is exactly what I said. He promised to be here but he's not but I'm okay with that really, he wasn't there when Cora was born. I'm sure it wouldn't make a huge difference  if he isn't here for Matthew.

As soon as I got the call from Adam. I came rushing over here with Cora. She is currently sleeping in the waiting area while I'm trying to find someone to help me. At almost 3am there are hardly any doctors around for a 24hr hospital.

“Ahhhhh!" I scream in pain as the first contraction happens. About ten minutes later I scream again with pain. Eventually AJ emerges from around the corner to help me.

“Lex!" He shouts while running towards me. He holds my one hand and has his other arm around my shoulder in an attempt to support me.

“Adam." I whisper.

“Doctor!" In an instant I am lifted onto a bed and I'm being pushed into two double doors that flap open.

I open my eyes slowly and immediately feel a pain in my midsection. My body feels stiff and I can't really move. I squint my eyes at the blinding light on top of my head .

“She's awake." Says a manly voice to my right. I hear the shuffling of metal tools and a cart being wheeled out of the room.

“Alex?" Says a woman. I look over to the left and a young looking lady is wearing a light blue shirt and matching pants with a net over her mouth and hair. “How are you feeling?"

“Fine." I barely let out.

“Okay, good." She speaks in a calm and soothing voice. “We are just going give you something to eat and a few sleeping pills so you can get some rest."

I silently nod at her. The bed I'm lying on is being pushed again and I close my eyes as I start to enjoy the ride.

I guess I must have fallen asleep without the need of sleeping pills. I slowly open my eyes to see my mother, Cora and AJ standing in front of me holding something wrapped in  a blue blanket and Rose by his side holding something wrapped in a similar blue blanket.

Rose is the first to look up at me, “Alex. Hi, how are you felling?" She gives me a smile before taking a few steps closer.

“I feel fine." I say while sitting up. Rose takes a seat in the chair next to the bed. I stare down at the blue blanket and realise that it's her baby. Both of the blankets contain her babies. “Twins!?"
