It was around half past five in the evening. I texted my mom informing her that I was going to stay the night at Rose's ( not that it would matter). Becky left a while ago leaving me alone with the twins.
Rose and I talked about life and what we expected in the future. She told me that she wanted only two kids and to live in a big house in Beverly Hills. She has a big imagination. I haven't really thought that far ahead in life. Sure I know I want to have a family one day, with a daughter, but I haven't really analyzed it.
“You hungry?" She asked me.
“No thanks. I'm okay."
“Oh darling you only had like one lettuce leaf before coming here. Com'on it's your favourite."
“With bacon?"
“With bacon." A huge grin broke out on my face making Rose laugh. We went into the kitchen to the awaiting plates set on the table. The aroma smelt like freshly melted cheese. I basically ran towards the plate closest to me in an attempt to be the first to eat. I didn't sit down until after my mouth was full of the heavenly taste of Mac and Cheese.
“Someone's hungry," Ryder chuckled as he took a seat next to me.
Rose sat on the other side of me facing him,“Leave her alone. When girl is hungry she's got to eat." She put the napkin on her lap and took a bite of her food. After every bite she would lightly tap over her mouth with the napkin and then replace it on her lap.
“Yeah I agree, it's very lady like to stuff your face with food." I disregard Ryder's comment as he laughed. All I wanted to do was focus on my food and enjoy eating with pleasure.
It took me about ten minutes to clear my plate and another ten to finish my second helping. By that time Rose had only half finished the food in front of her. Ryder was nowhere to be seen. “Gosh, Rose how long does it take to eat!" I whined.
“Well love, we aren't all so eager to eat," she took a bite and wiped her mouth, “and then eat again."
I sighed, “could I at least go watch TV or something?"
“Go ahead." I went straight to the TV room. Ryder was sitting spread out on the couch flipping through the channels. As soon as he saw me he smirked.
“What?" I moved his legs from one side of the couch so that I could sit. He didn't say anything but began to laugh. “Okay, seriously Ryder. What?" I began to get annoyed. It took me a while to realise that he was on the phone obviously laughing with the person on the other line.
“Okay...yeah...don't worry..." He laughed, “see you there I guess...bye Parker." I felt kind of stupid getting angry at him for basically no reason. “And why the long face Louis?"
“What? Me no I'm good, great actually." I chuckled nervously. He laughed at me and mumbled an okay. We were watching Ridiculousness on MTV. I love that show. It always makes me smile at the fact that some people can be so idiotic at times.
“So Pretty Girl Louis, you got any plans for tonight?" He asked me.
“Nope." I retorted while popping the p.
“You wonna do something...fun?"
“Sure, what you have in mind?" Rose decided to join us.
Ryder moved closer to me to make space for Rose to sit on the on other side so that he could be in the middle. “It's a surprise. Com'on." He whispered. He walked over to the bowl of keys on the table beside the front door. He grabbed what I presume were his car keys. He winked at me before exiting. My cheeks turned a shade darker in pink. Gosh, I got shivers all over. AJ use to make me do that.
