Chapter 43

"Jasper," Esme said sternly. We made our way over to Esme and Carlisle.

"Why?" Esme asked.

"I'm sorry," he said. "You guys just couldn't know where I was and-."

She cut him off. "You left Vivvy." Most of the witnesses had headed back to our house with Edward and Bella, so the field was almost entirely empty.

"I know. I felt terrible the entire time I was gone. I'm really sorry. I owe you all big time for watching out for her for me," he said.

"Especially Emmy and Rosie," I mumbled, wanting to slip back into littlespace.

"I heard my name," Em said, running over and picking me up in a bear hug. "I've missed Vivvy."

"Me too," Rose said coming to join us. Emmett put me down on my feet.

"Well, I'm back. I think," I said.

"Baby girl," Jasper said.

"I missed you, Jasper," I said, hugging him.

"I missed you too, Vivvy," Jasper said, returning my hug.

"Let's go home," I said. Jasper started to walk while holding me on his hip.

"Daddy," I said, excitedly remembering my new stuffed animal. "Emmy and Rosie got me a stuffed sloth."

"Did they?" He asked and I nodded excitedly. "Does he have a name?" Jasper asked.

"No," I said. "Emmy wanted to get me a real sloth but Carlisle told him no."

"You were going to give her a real sloth?" Jasper asked.

"Sloths are cool, and real ones totally beat fake ones," Emmett said. I saw the house come into view and curled into Jasper.

"We can stop baby," Jasper said. "We don't have to go inside. I know large groups make you uncomfortable, especially in littlespace."

"Inside," I said.

"How have you been?" He asked, carrying me into the house.

"Tired," I said.

"I bet. Wanna get some sleep tonight?" He asked. I nodded happily.

I felt a bunch of eyes on me and Jasper, but didn't care.

"Hey, Vivvy," Esme said, handing me my favorite blankie. It was literally my security blanket. It sort of helped my anxiety.

"Thank you, Esme," I said. Jasper wrapped the blanket around me. I noticed Bella and Nessie weren't here. They must've gone back to their cottage with Jake, not that I cared.

"You're welcome, and we're glad you're back," she said.

"God, I thought we got a break from this BS," Edward said angrily.

"Edward stop," Jasper said sternly.

"Edward, maybe you should take Bella and Nes to Alaska for a while," Carlisle said, holding out the house keys of the house in Alaska. He nodded and took the keys before running off without even a thank you to anyone who helped save the family.

"Everyone, this is Jasper, our other son," Carlisle said, introducing Jasper to those who didn't know him. His friends Peter and Charlotte walked over to us quickly. They wanted to get out of here. Staying in one place too long made them skittish.

"Jasper," Peter said politely. If I remembered correctly they served together in Maria's army.

"Peter, long time," Jasper said. Rose walked over to us and stole me away from Jasper I went to object but thought better of it. I could have Jasper all to myself later.

"Hey, Vivvy," Seth said as Rose walked me up to the group. It was just our family sitting together.

"Sethie," I said happily, taking a seat in the chair next to Seth.

"We've missed you Vivvy," Alice said.

"I missed me too," I said, curling up like I was gonna take a nap. Everyone else talked about random things that I didn't pay attention to. I was trying to wait patiently for Jasper to get done talking to his old friends.
