Jason's pov
"And watchin' her, it breaks his heart cause he already knows. It won't be like this for long! Someday soon that little girl is gonna be all grown up and gone! These days are gonna fly by and he's tryin' to hold on, cause it won't be like this for long." I lower the guitar and the crowd claps and cheers. Luke smiles and pats my back. "They love ya man." I smile. "This is a dream come true." They were chanting my name. I stood up. "Yeah!" I shout, throwing a fist in the air. They cheer even louder. "This is an original by yours truly." I say, strumming to a faster tune. "It's called Cowboy Up." Luke laughs and strums along, knowing this song well since we wrote it together.
*A couple hours later*
Miranda's pov
"I'm so excited to find out how dad's show went!" Sierra excitedly cheers, hopping around the room, hyper. Ethan laughed and pointed at her. I smile and finish dinner. "Me too, sweet girl." Jason walks in just then with the biggest smile on his face. "Oh man, ya shoulda been there babe, it was unbelievable! The crowd was amazing!" He enthusiastically shouts almost as excited as his daughter. "They were screaming my name!" He scoops Sierra and Ethan up and started singing. They sang along laughing as he dances around the room. I smile proudly. "I'm so happy for you, honey." I say hugging him. He sets the kids down and hugs me tight. "I love ya honey." "I love you too." We share a kiss then eat dinner together. Halfway through dessert, Ethan yawned, his eyes drooping. Jason gets up. "Come on little man, off to bed." He says, picking the tired toddler up. He gradually falls asleep on his father's shoulder. I smile and walk with him to his bedroom. "Tell us a bedtime story." Sierra says, walking in behind us and sitting beside Ethan who opened his eyes again. My lovely husband smiles and glances at me. "How about the story of the police officer and the queen who needed help." I blush, caught off guard and sit beside him. "Yeah." Ethan tiredly says, smiling. Jason hugs me and tells the story of how we met. "What a brave police officer you were." I whisper, kissing his cheek, both our amazing children having fallen asleep. He smiles. "You will always be my queen." He says, kissing me. I smile, so happy. "I love you." "I'll always love you."
