Jason's pov

Miranda and Sierra are drifting off to sleep on the couch. I smile and scoop the little one up. She scoots into my chest, sucking her thumb. I lay her in her bed and tuck her in, kissing her forehead. I walk back out to the living room. I'm so excited to tell her I'm nominated for top new male vocalist at the CMA awards. I'll tell her tomorrow though. She's pretty tired.

*the next day*

The awards are in a week. I walk into the kitchen where she's making breakfast. I kiss her cheek. "Hey baby, I've got a surprise for ya." I say. She smiles. "Me too." I'm a little surprised at this. "You first?" I ask. She shrugs. "It doesn't matter to me." She says, putting bacon on plates. "Well, you're looking at the nominee for top new male vocalist at the CMA awards." I say, proudly, pointing to myself. She smiles. "That's so awesome Jason. I can't wait!" She says, hugging me. Just then Sierra calls me. I want to find out what her surprise was but I go check on Sierra first. She's in the bathroom. "Daddy, what's this?" She asks. I take it from her and gasp in shock. It's a pregnancy test. A positive pregnancy test! "Um baby!" I call, picking Sierra up and running downstairs. She stands in the kitchen doorway. "Are you for real?" I ask, stumbling over there after setting Sierra down. She's got a big smile. She's serious. I hug her tightly. "This is so cool!" Tears fill my eyes. "How far along are you?" "I don't know. We have to make an appointment." I turn back to Sierra who's standing in the doorway, confused. I walk over and pick her up. "Hey Sierra, you're gonna be a big sister." I say. Her eyes go wide. "Really? Mama's gonna have a baby?" I nod. Miranda rests her hands on her stomach. "I'm so glad I met you Jason. You make life worth living again." I wipe away her tears and kiss her. "I love you baby." "I love you too."

*later*

The doctor walks in with the results. "You are pregnant and you're 2 months along." The doctor says. "Already 2 months?" She whispers, shocked. He nods. I smile. "This is the beginning of the best years of my life." I say, kissing her. I take a picture of us in the doctor's office. I post it to Instagram for my fans. I'm excited to be able to say I have fans! We get back home and Luke calls me. "Marriage and a baby! Man this is so cool!" He says. "It sure is. I can't wait." "Oh and congrats on the nomination." I smile. "Couldn't have done it without your help and my girl's persuasion to give it another shot." I hang up the phone and lay Sierra in her bed. I hold Miranda in my lap while we make out on the couch. "Gosh baby there's nothing I wouldn't do for you." "I can't wait for us to get married." She whispers, kissing me again. After the awards, we're gonna get married, then I have my first tour with Rascal Flatt's and the Band Perry. I twirl a strand of her hair around my finger. "My life is complete with you." I whisper.
