Surprise! - Janah

Jack's POV
-late October-
My boyfriend Jonah has been away in the military for about a year and a half, and I haven't seen him since he left. We FaceTime every chance that we get, and we are still happy as ever together. I finished up my math test then handed it in to my teacher, since that was the only thing that we had to do this period I went onto my phone and saw a text from Jonah.

Jonah Bear: Hey cutie! I can't talk today but I'll FaceTime you ASAP, I love you😘
Me: Love you too bub❤️

I went onto Instagram and just scrolled through it.

"Ok, we have an assembly so everyone line up at the door," my teacher said. Everyone got up from their seats and we lined up at the door, then we went to the gym where the whole school was seated on the floor. The principal walked up to the microphone and started talking.

"So, you're all probably wondering why we're having an assembly, but we have a surprise for someone in the audience. So as some of you guys know, Jack Avery has been missing someone for the past year and a half," she paused and I looked at my friends confused. "So everyone please welcome sergeant Jonah Frantzich!" I saw Jonah walk in and he stood beside my principal looking for me, I covered my mouth and started crying. I got up and ran, almost tripping on my classmates, up to the front. I ran to Jonah and jumped into his arms, everyone in the gym was cheering and Jonah kissed my head.

"Hi baby," Jonah said quietly.

"Hi," I said through my sobs. I pulled away and smiled at him, I didn't even care that people were watching, I smashed my lips onto his and wrapped my arms around his neck, everyone started cheering even louder. We pulled away and smiled at each other, I jumped into his arms again and wrapped my legs around his waist. "I missed you so much," I said into his neck.

"I missed you too bubby," he replied. "Ready to go home?" I nodded and Jonah put me back on the ground. I held his hand and pulled him to my locker, I quickly got all of my stuff together then we went out to my car, I got into the driver's seat and Jonah got into the passenger seat. I pulled out of the school parking lot and started driving to my house.

"Does your family know that you're here?" I asked.

"Yeah, I came home yesterday so that's when I saw them," he answered.

"You were home yesterday and didn't tell me?" I asked with a fake mad expression on my face.

"I'm sorry Bub, I wanted to surprise you, please don't be mad," he said then took my hand that's not on the wheel.

"I'm not mad at you, I'm just glad that we're together now," I told him.

"Me too," he said with a smile. We kept talking for the whole way home.

When we got to my house I realized that we'd be home alone but I didn't mind, we went up to my room and cuddled on my bed.

"You look pretty hot with your uniform," I said with a smirk.

"Oh yeah?" Jonah asked.

"Yeah," I said then faced him. He attached our lips and we both smiled into the kiss, taking as much of each other as we could into our arms.

After a few minutes we pulled away and I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"I love you Jo," I said quietly.

"I love you too Jack."
