Third person
Daniel sat at a table in the library, staring at the homework in front of him. He's been staring at the same homework for hours, but he still fails to understand it.
"Excuse me, the library's closing," Lilian, the librarian, explained to Daniel. He looked up at the elderly woman with a soft smile.
"Ok, I'll be out in a minute."
Lilian nodded then walked back to her desk.
Daniel packed up all of his homework into his backpack then walked out of the library. He walked through the building and up to his dorm that he shares with his boyfriend, Corbyn.
He walked into the room and saw Corbyn awake watching a movie. "Hey, why aren't you in bed? It's 10 o'clock," Daniel asked Corbyn.
"My first class tomorrow doesn't start till 12," Corbyn explained. Daniel nodded then sat down at his desk, continuing his homework. "Doesn't your first class start at 9?"
"Yeah, but I have to finish this homework because it's due tomorrow, and I don't get it at all," Daniel whined. Corbyn sighed, this is how it was his first year of college too, now he's in his third year.
"I know it's hard baby, but you just need to persevere."
"You don't understand," Daniel complained. "Today's been a shit day. I woke up with a cold, my math professor hates me and kicked me out of class for simply asking a question, my English professor extended the class for half an hour, which made me late to my next class. And I've been doing homework since 3 o'clock."
He looked over at Corbyn to see him still staring at the movie. "Are you even listening?" Daniel asked madly, his eyes filling with tears. Corbyn looked over at Daniel with a sad smile.
"Of course love," Corbyn said as he started walking over to Daniel. He gently kissed Daniel's cheek. "Let's just get you to bed ok? Your mental health and sleep is way more important than school."
"But-"
"No buts, let's go to bed baby," Corbyn instructed. Daniel sighed to show that he gave up. Daniel walked over to his bed and got into bed, letting Corbyn tuck him in. That was all that he remembered before he fell into a deep sleep.
*the next morning*
Daniel woke up to his alarm, he checked the time and saw that it was 8:00am.
He quickly stretched and got out of bed, his heart skipped a beat when he remember his unfinished homework.
He ran over to his desk and looked down to see the papers complete. There was a sticky note on top of the papers.
Hi love, I finished these for you after you fell asleep last night. Have a good day cutie - Corbyn
Daniel smiled then walked to his first class.
After all that, he ended up getting an A on his homework.
