Third person
Corbyn woke up and saw white. He blinked a couple times to get his vision back, then he noticed he was in a hospital room.
"Hello Corbyn!" a nurse said happily. "I'm nurse Kayla and I've been taking care of you."
"J-Jonah," Corbyn stuttered quietly.
"Jonah's here if you'd like to see him," Kayla explained. Corbyn nodded then Kayla left the room to get Jonah.
Soon after she came back, Jonah following right behind her.
When Jonah entered the room he ran over to Corbyn with happy tears in his eyes.
"Thank god you're ok," Jonah said, a few tears falling down his face. Corbyn smiled slightly and wiped away Jonah's tears.
"Jonah," Corbyn mumbled.
"Yes angel?" Jonah asked and kissed Corbyn's forehead.
"J-Jonah," Corbyn stuttered. He tried to form a sentence but he got frustrated when he couldn't.
"Baby, calm down, start again."
"J-Jonah," Corbyn tried. Jonah sighed and kissed Corbyn's hand.
"Don't try to talk love, just relax," Jonah said softly. Corbyn nodded slightly. Jonah smiled and gently played with Corbyn's hair.
"So what could be happening right now is memory loss. Corbyn knows that he can talk, but he may only be able to say a couple words. We can get him into speech therapy to fix it but for now we'll just have to use a whiteboard for him," Kayla explained to Jonah. Jonah nodded and smiled at her slightly.
"Thank you," Jonah whispered. Kayla nodded then left the room. "Did you hear that love?"
Corbyn just nodded sadly. "Hey, don't be upset. We'll just get you into speech therapy. It'll be hard but we'll make it through," Jonah said then kissed Corbyn's lips gently. Corbyn nodded.
Corbyn moved over in the bed and patted the space beside him, telling Jonah to lay down. Jonah instantly got the hint and laid down next to Corbyn. "I'm sure you're tired love, Go to sleep."
Corbyn nodded then slowly drifted off.
Jonah smiled down at the sleeping boy in his arms. It may be a struggle, but they'll get through it. Together.
