Storm - Janiel

Jack's POV

The boys and I were all playing on the Xbox when our phones all lit up with the same warning, a tornado warning.

We all started heading to the basement until I realized Daniel wasn't with us. Daniel has been afraid of storms since he was little, and he even has anxiety when storms come.

"Daniel!" I called as I walked back upstairs. I saw Daniel curled up on the floor in a corner, tears falling like waterfalls. "Come on Dani," I said gently as I picked him up in my arms. He tucked his head into my neck and sobbed. "Shh, it's ok," I soothed as I walked downstairs. I closed and locked the door to the basement then continued downstairs.

I brought Daniel into our safe room where the rest of the boys were. There were enough small beds for each of us, as well as enough food and water to last 2 weeks. There were also extra blankets.

I set Daniel down on a bed and held him in my arms and rubbed his back. "Shh, it will be over soon, it's ok," I whispered in his ear. He continued sobbing and cuddled into me more.

Soon enough he eventually cried himself to sleep on my lap. I placed a blanket over him then gently played with his hair as I held him close to me. I smiled, I've had a crush on Dani for a while now, but I just haven't told anyone. "How do I tell him?" I asked the boys.

"Tell him what?" Jonah asked.

"That, that I love him," I said quietly then returned my gaze to the sleeping boy on my lap.

"You like Dani," Corbyn asked. I nodded slightly, not taking my eyes off of Daniel.

"Just tell him bro, we know he's gay, the worst that could happen is he turns you down," Jonah said with a shrug.

"Yeah, easier said then done," I said with a sigh. I held Daniel closer to me and got comfortable, we weren't getting out of this basement anytime soon.

*4 hours later*

We all got the notification that it was safe to go, Daniel was still sleeping peacefully on my lap.

I lifted him into my arms and carried him upstairs to his bedroom.

As I laid him on his bed he woke up. "Sorry Dani, I didn't mean to wake you," I whispered. He just smiled then pulled me closer. He smashed his lips against mine and I was in shock. I quickly started to kiss back which caused Daniel to smile.

When we pulled away he smiled at me.

"I love you too Jack," he said, answering from when I was talking about him earlier. I smiled and blushed.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" I asked.

"Of course," he answered. I got into the bed with him and held him in my arms gently. I kissed his forehead and he cuddled into me more.

"Goodnight Dani," I whispered.

"Goodnight Jack."
