Cale's POV

I arrived at my office an hour early because I still had some shit load of papers to sign and I have a business meeting to attend later at 12.

Megan brought the papers with the coffee I requested.

"Megan..." I called.

"Yes, Mr. Thompson?" She turned around and made few steps closer to me.

"How many days have you been working here?"

"Almost 3 weeks sir."

"3 weeks...I hadn't seen any improvement Megan, I would ask for you to make improvements each day. I expect by the end of the month, you and the others can work alone. I don't have time for messes, our company is at stake here and you weren't hired in this company for nothing."

"Yes, sir."

I sighed. Megan stood in front of me with her head low...Okay, now I feel bad.

"Remember what I said. I told the same thing with the others so don't feel too bad. Take it step by step. You can leave."

She nodded and finally exited my office.

I started to sign the papers. It wasn't that much which was a relief. I really don't have plans on spending the rest of the day sitting on my swivel chair.

There was a knock on my door again. It slowly opened and Dylan's head popped in.

"What up, Thompson? Paper works again?" He sat on one of my couches and lit a cigarette.

"Obviously. It's not much but I need to finish this before 12 because I still have a meeting to attend." I said as I scribbled my signature paper after paper.

"You're quite loaded today." He mouthed then puffed a smoke.

"I'm always  loaded."

"Seeing you in a suit and doing paperworks still feels new to me though. I actually thought you'd work in some drug dealer kinda shit." He said laughing.

"Shut up." I hissed.

"Ever thought of hiring a secretary?"

"Why the hell would I hire a secretary?" I questioned. My coffee had gotten cold by now, so I moved it aside. It didn't taste good anyway.

"Cale, Thompson Group of Company is growing. You're going to need a handful of manpower to cope with your company's productivity and a secretary might help you with all of these." He pointed out on the papers on my desk.

Dylan did have a point. I had actually thought about having a secretary but brushed the thought away. Maybe I should reconsider.

"I'll think about it." I said. "What Are you up to today?"

"I almost forgot about that. Well, I'm here because Zac had finally arrived from London and he's invited us for drinks at that bar he had just opened." Dylan said. "And, he's invited some other friends from college, you know how he's the most sociable among us. It could be a little reunion."
