Iris' POV

"I can't believe she just showed up in my apartment and wanting to take Iver!" I blurted but quieted myself after realizing that Iver's just in the living room.

After my encounter with Olivia, I went straight to my parents to tell them everything that had happened the whole morning. I was so stressed out!

"Now calm down, Iris."

"Dad, I can't just calm down." I was practically all over the kitchen trying to think of a plan.

"Dear, can you just sit still? You're really making me dizzy with you walking all over the place." My mom whined. I listened and sat on the stool just across the dining table where my parents were sitting.

"I'm sorry. I'm just so stressed out, I don't know where to start!"

"Well, why don't you start by calming yourself down." My dad said and handed me a glass of water. I took it from him and I took a deep breathe and rubbed my temples.

"You need to put yourself together, Iris. Panicking won't help." My dad said. He's right. I should think things out.

"This is Dan Osborn's fault." I whined. I suddenly remember what happened at his office. I couldn't help it! Anger was feeding inside of me. He fired me to what? Replace me with Leyla who was obviously not capable of doing any serious work besides manipulating men and ruining other people's lives. My life included!

"If he didn't fire me I wouldn't be worrying this much. If I still have my job then Olivia and his attorney won't give me an ultimatum of finding someone to help me raise Iver."

"Forget Osborn, dear. There are lots of other companies that you can work at. You're smart and very talented, anyone would want you." I smiled at my mother's positive words and somehow I felt a bit of relief.

"Thanks mom." I sat next to her and leaned over her shoulder. Even at 25, I still look out for comfort and advise from them specially during times like this. I'm so lucky to have them.

"So, Olivia gave you an ultimatum?" Dad asked. "For how long?"

"Three months."

"That's just enough time. We could find someone to be with you, sweetheart."

I glared at my dad, did I just hear him right? Why was he so obsessed with me to be with someone? I'm perfectly fine by my own!

"Robin, this isn't the right time for you jokes, please." My mom said, disappointment in her eyes.

"Dad you aren't even helping. I don't need to be with someone, that's the least of my concerns. What I need first is a job. If I'm able to find a good job and the one that pays better then maybe I won't even have to worry about finding someone. It's a stupid idea. And Dan Osborn is a suck up of a boss, I wish he'd grow two more balls."

"Who's gonna grow two more balls, mommy Iris?" Iver stepped in the kitchen and we all looked at him surprised. I palmed my mouth cursing myself for speaking loudly.

I walked and crouched in front of my nephew. "No one, baby, uhh, mommy Iris was just playing around." I tried to lie. It was a bad lie. Knowing Iver, he wouldn't stop talking about it until he's finally figured it out. He'll keep on asking questions until you run out of answers. That's why I usually keep him away whenever I'm talking with adults. He's a curious kid.
