Iris' POV

It's another busy day at New York City and I have just woken up from a really bad head ache. The medicine I took wasn't a big help though. I stirred my black coffee once more and took a sip. It's a good thing that I don't have to go to work today. It's my off.

Finally!

I haven't had my off for two straight weeks because Leyla had to be a bitch not to show up for work on the exact day as my off.

That woman despises me for no good reason and I despise her too so we're even *evil laugh*. But unlike her, I have a good reason for hating her.

I look at the wall clock to check the time.

7:24 am.

I have to buy some groceries today. I looked over to the shelf where I usually place my groceries and it's almost empty.

"Okay, I'll go now just give me 10 more minutes." I said, talking to no one in particular. Shortly, I heared a soft cry in the bedroom.

He's awake.

I instantly walked to my bedroom and saw Iver sitting up straight on the bed as he rubbed his eyes.

"Good morning, little guy." I greeted him and scooped him up and placed him on my lap.

"Are you okay?" I gently wiped his wet cheeks with my hand.

Iver nodded and yawned, stretching his little body and that's just one of my favorite things he does. He's just so cute. And those little round eyes of him remind me of Ivory. Everything about this little boy remind me so much of my sister. I miss her, I really really miss her.

"Milk pwease." Iver suddenly mouthed. He's looking at me now with those eyes of his and a smile showing off a row of little white teeth.

"Oh, my little baby's hungry now, huh." I stood up and carried him in my arms as we headed to my little kitchen. He's getting quite heavy though. I placed him on his favorite chair that was red with a sticker of Lightning McQueen on the back rest and heated the kettle.

"What would you like now?" I asked Iver as I scanned the cereal boxes lined up over the shelf.

I hadn't noticed that I've bought this much cereals for Iver, they almost filled half of the shelf. It's Iver's favorite breakfast so I just thought to buy different kinds so he can have different ones every day. As of now, he has 6 cereals. Perfect.

Iver looked up the shelf as his little lips turned into a pout. "I choose..." and then he pointed out."That one! I want Coco pwease."

"Coco Crunch it is." I said. Then the kettle whistled and I took Iver's milk and started to make him one.

"Mommy Iris, do I have school today?" Iver questioned as he swallowed a spoonful of his cereal.

"No baby you don't. Ms. Smith said they're going to have a seminar somewhere out of town. So school would resume next week." I explained.

"Oh. So what are we gon'do today?" Iver asked again and his little dimples showed as he smiled getting a bit excited. He was still on his PJ's and some of his hair were sticking out from his slumber.
