IRIS' POV

"Iris! Iris help me!"

I turned around where the voice was coming from. It was so dark and the fog was so thick. I turned once more and saw a woman running to my direction, she was with someone else, a man. They were both running and kept looking back as if someone was after them.

"Iris! Help us!"

Wait, I know that voice. Is that... is that Ivory?

"Ivory, Tanner, is that you?" I shouted as I slowly walked to their direction.

Behind them was a huge truck that seemed to have no plan on stopping. I ran to them, I stretched my hand to help them but it was too late, the truck came over them and blood was everywhere.

I opened my eyes and found myself laying in bed, soaked with my own sweat. Another nightmare. Thought it was over, it had been 4 years since my sister's and Tanner's tragic death and it still haunts me every now and then.

I miss her terribly. She was my best friend. We were always together, we were the perfect duo. I was two years older than her but even then, she knew a lot of things better than I did. She was the risk taker while I was the timid one and with that I admired her so much and admired her even more when she got pregnant with Iver, it was unplanned but  she never had any doubts and negative thoughts and only thought about her, Iver and Tanner. She was so excited to start her little family, but a tragic accident happend that took both Ivory's and Tanner's life in one glimpse.

"Iris..."

My mom entered slowly to my bedroom and sat beside me.

"Good morning, sweetie. I think you should get ready for today or you'll be late for work."

I sat back up and took a quick stretch. I wanted to tell her about my nightmare and how scary and real it was but decided no. I don't wanna stress her even more. I know she misses Ivory as much as I do and I don't want to upset her.

"Is Iver awake?" I asked.

"Yes, that kid is a morning clock. I had already prepared his breakfast and he's eating in the living room while watching his favorite cartoons. Your dad had already went off for work."

"Thanks mom, don't know what I'd do without you guys." I embraced my mom and I suddenly miss the old times when mom would cradle me and Ivory and sing us lullaby songs before bedtime.

After fixing my bed, I went out of the living room and saw Iver focused on the television screen.

"Good morning, baby!" I cuddled him and Iver giggled. His laughter was contagious that it had us both laughing and fell back on the carpet.

"Good morning mommy! I missed you!"

"Oh did you?" I asked still holding him in my arms.

"Yup! I woke up first than you mommy and you were making noises with your nose while you was sleeping." Iver laughed and I just thought if I were really snoring in my sleep or if this little boy was just making fun of me.
