Cleo's POV
"Hello princess" dad says holding his arms out for a hug. I ran into them and hug him tightly with tears of joy. "Now don't cry princess, remember head up" he tells me wiping my eyes lifting my chin.
"I'm sorry I won't rejoin you with Jim" I tell them.
"No apology needed, you protected your brother and we're so proud of you" mum states stroking my hair. "Besides it won't ever truly be goodbye" she adds.
"She's right, we're all in here" dad states pointing to my heart. "As you are in ours, Jim will understand that one day. Just as you learned after our deaths" he says with a gentle smile.
"How are I am here? Where is here?" I ask looking around. I realize we're in Stonehenge.
"Close, this limbo for lack of a better word. We're here to remind you we love you no matter what. And are always proud of you" mum explains.
"Besides we'll see you again sooner then you think" dad says mysteriously. Mum hits his arm. "Anyway we heard your every story, song and pray" he states.
"Yes, they are beautiful" mum says.
"I miss you both" I tell them hugging mum.
"We miss you and your brother everyday, we didn't want to leave. But it was our time" mum states. "But like your father said, we'll always be in each others hearts" she reminds me.
"Does it hurt? Dying?" I ask them.
"Quicker then falling asleep" dad assures me.
"Besides when it's really your time, you feel no pain" mum states.
"That's good to hear" I tell them. "Will Jim have a good life?" I ask.
"According to the angels he will" mum assures me. "He will forgive you, so don't feel any shame in your choice. Besides you'll be given a most precious gift" she tells me.
"Let me guess, you can't tell me what it is" I say smiling.
"Bingo" dad says tapping my nose making me giggle. "Thantos maybe death, but he is a good man and will take care of you. He is a man of his word" he tells me.
"Not mention quite handsome" mum adds dreamily and I giggle.
"And what of me, my darling wife?" dad asks wrapping his arms around her waist.
"You know I love only you dear husband of mine" she tells him.
"Will I have that with Thantos? If we did get together" I ask.
"You'd have to be with him to find out" mum tells me. Just then a flash of light appears. A handsome well built man with white angel wings appear. (Gabriel: https://img00.deviantart.net/6415/i/2015/114/2/9/avenging_angel__thor_by_brilcrist-d5emtnr.jpg).
"I am sad to say, your time is up" he states.
"Of course Gabriel" mum says and hugs me again. "Be strong and true to your heart Cleo" she tells me.
"We love you princess, make the last few months count" dad tells me. Kisses my forehead before going to stand beside mother and the angel. Who steps forward and bows his head to me.
"Cleo, I am Gabriel. I pray you find a love filled and happy life with Thantos" he states. "I am sorry for trying to have him break the contract. I now see that your pledge is true and I am honoured to have known you. I will watch over your brother once you're gone" he tells me.
"Thank you, please look after my parents and brother" I tell him. Before they and Stonehenge fade away. "Mum, Dad I love you both!" I shout. I suddenly wake up with Thantos beside me and I hug him tightly.
"Hush now, all will be well" he says stroking my hair tenderly. "I hope you had a pleasant visit" he adds.
"That was you?" I ask pulling away to look into his eyes.
"Not entirely, but I did have a small part in it" he states.
"Thank you, it was nice to see them again" I tell him. I look outside to see it's still dark out and look at the time. It is only a quarter to one in the morning. Thantos gets up to leave, but I grab his arm. "Please stay, until I fall asleep again" I plead.
"If that is what you wish" he says as I lay back down. He sits up against the headboard and strokes my hair. "Sleep now beauty" he tells me and I fall into a dreamless sleep.
