Cleo's POV
It's the day after Jimmy's birthday. Thantos convinced me to get Jim the demon dog puppy. It looks like a black and grey German Shepard. Jimmy named him Ace and absolutely loves him. Thantos said Ace accepted Jimmy as his master, which makes me very happy. At least I know Jimmy won't ever be alone and will always be protected.
Anyway it's Monday morning and I'm preparing Jim's lunch. Ace was feed already and we had had breakfast. Jimmy is just packing his school bag. But I know somethings up when he appears without Ace beside him. They'd been inseparable since he got him. That's when I see his bag wiggle and sigh.
"Hand it over" I tell him holding a hand out.
"I don't know what you're talking about" he says giving me an innocent smiles. But I give him a stern look and he hands me his bag. I open it and Ace pokes his head out. I take him and place him on the ground where he sits looking up at us.
"Jim I told you last night, that you can't take Ace to school with you. Unless it's for show and tell on Friday" I remind him. "Now he can ride with us and I'll bring him when I pick you up. But he is coming home with me" I tell him.
"But I want to show him to my friends" he says with a pout.
"Your friends can see him after school when I pick you up" I tell him. "Now are you ready?" I ask while I put his lunch in his bag. He nods his head taking his bag and I smile. We get into the car with Ace on his lap looking out the window. "Keep a hold of him now" I say as I start the car. I then drive us to Jim's school and he hands me Ace before getting out.
Once he shut the door I lock it and place Ace back down on it. He whines placing his paws onto the window. "Don't worry boy, you'll see him this afternoon" I tell him patting his back. I drive us home and carry him inside. Before shutting the door and placing him down. "Now no wondering off" I tell him before going into the backyard to garden.
I was pulling at weeds from the rose garden when a rosebud suddenly bloomed before my eyes. "Beautiful is it not?" a voice asks from behind me. I turn to see a beautiful blonde woman standing there in white dress.
"Yes it is, who are you?" I ask her confused.
"I go by many names, but you may call me Gaia" she tells me.
"Mother Earth" I say shocked.
"True, but a more appropriate word is Life" she states.
"Why are you here?" I ask her confused.
"Thantos thought it best you knew what it meant to marry him. Usually when death or life retires and a new one takes over. Then another new death or life also takes over. But no new life has taken over, I still have the position as I saw no one fit for the job. Until Thantos found you" she explains smiling.
"I still don't understand" I tell her.
"When you and Thantos marry you will be given a most precious gift. You will become the new Goddess of Life. You'll be able to do many things, but I won't tell you everything now. I am here to help prepare you for your future powers. As once you marry I'll only be around a month before you take over" she explains.
"Do you really think I'm worthy?" I ask her.
"I do, here" she says handing me a necklace. "No matter where you, I'll be with you even when I retire. Now I must return to my duties" she states before disappearing in a flash of light.
"Well she came earlier then expected" Thantos states appearing beside me. "I pray she didn't scare you to much with your future roll" he says.
"No just confused, I thought it'd be an angel" I tell him.
"True it is usually an unawaken angel who becomes life. Unless Death marries, then his wife becomes Life. Though no Death has married in a long time. The last one who did was Elijah's predecessor's predecessor called Coleson" he states. I nod my head and we go inside.
"Do you want anything to eat?" I ask him.
"Whatever you have is fine" he states. So I make us cheesy mac and got some bread. We eat in the living room where Ace is sulking in his bed. "Let me guess, Jimmy?" Thantos asks.
"Yeah, he's upset not being with him" I state. "But we'll be picking him up in two hours" I add. We finish eating and I wash the dishes while he went back to work. I then watch a movie until it was time to collect Jimmy from school. "Ace want to come with me to get Jimmy?" I ask. He barks standing up happily wagging her tail. I grab my keys and head to the car opening the door. He jumps in and I shut it before getting into the drivers seat.
I drive to Jimmy's school and he was waiting with his friends. They all loved Ace, but he just stayed in Jimmy's arms. I then take them both home and help Jimmy with his homework. Before preparing dinner while he feed Ace his food. We ate then watched the Simpsons Movie before I put Jimmy in bed with Ace beside him. I then went to bed also.
