Chapter 17: Voices in my head

Connors pov
We came to the hospital for almost a month. A month. All because of that awful squip..

Jeremy and Evan were still unconscious. And rich had burns all on his body. Horrible burns still from the house fire.

Me and Jared were wating in Evans room, Michael left a few minutes ago to visit Jeremy again so we stayed here.

Evan didn't deserve any of this. He just got caught up in the choas.

I was looking at Evan and saw his eyes squint and slowly open. My eyes widened and I looked at Jared, who looked back to me before jumping up

"Evan!" jared said and ran over to him hugging him.  Evan looked dazed and then shoved jared off him. I slowly followed sighing in relief he was awake.

"Im-so.. So-so sorry" Evan said shaky looking at us as tears formed in his eyes. "I..I messed up so much-The squip.  I hurt all of you so much-Jared-"

"hey hey hey hey.... It's ok evan I'm ok."

We walked closer to him again and embraced him in our arms as he just sobbed and kept saying he was sorry over and over.

I sighed softly and kept rubbing his back..I was glad Evan was going to be ok..

Michaels POV
I walked out of evans room, I felt like he would need alone time with Jared and connor when he woke up. When I got to Jeremys room I heard voices

"-S he single? I'm just curious in tottaly bi now!"

Wait.. Was that.. Rich? He's bi?

I walksd inside and saw rich look at me and his eyes widened. "Oh hey....."

"Hey.. Rich" I mumbled softly and walked away from him, quickly..

I smiled softly at an awake and Jeremy.

Jeremys POV
I got out of the hospital a day ago, and today had been my first day back.  I got weird glances from kids, thankfully jenna posted and said about how someone added some sort of drug to the formula..so.. That's good... I guess....

I thought the squip was going to help. But it ended up hurting everyone around me...

Chloe, Brooke, Jake, and jenna gave me advice on asking Christine out. They said they felt all connected in a way...which is.. Kinda weird...I did ask Christine out though! And she said yes!

Rich said he may like Michael! Which is amazing...its kinda.. Awkward to have your bully for the past five years and say that he may have a crush on your best friend for 12 years.  And I have a feeling that Michael knows but he doesn't say anything.

Connor, Jared and evan are getting closer again. He didn't didn't deserve any of this..And I forced him into it...

I saw Evan at his locker and I walked to him.

"Evan!" I called out to him and he turned around at me "Jeremy..."

I sighed softly at him. "How's Connor and Jared?"

"Good.. They're good.." He said softly "I feel..so guilty..I-I hurt them so much-I feel like-The squip is going to-to shock me every time I stutter-"

My eyes soften "Evan.. That thing shocked you every time you stutter..?"

He nodded and looked down again "yeah.."

A few seconds later I felt someone sling their arm around me and I looked at Michael smiling softly "Hey dude"

"Sup"

He said and looked at Evan "after school we are planning to go to seven eleven. Wanna come? I already asked Connor and Jared..and Christine" He said looking at me.

I rolled my eyes and punched him playfully "I'll meet up with you I need to talk to evan a little more.

Michael shrugged and nodded "Grool."

He said and walked away.

"I sighed softly and turned to evan again "Do.. You stil hear it?"

He nodded "Yeah.. Just keeps adding on to voices" He said as he forced a nervous laugh

I frowned and put my hand on his shoulder looking at him

"Evan. Remember that any other voices in our head.. Squip or no squip or any voices. The loudest one is ours."
